    it's honestly crazy to me that maddon still hasn't been fired. like even if he wasn't screwing up at the moment, you'd expect him to be fired just based on his expiring contract and the way the team has been trending. but on top of all that, he's making inexplicably terrible moves that are directly costing them games on a regular basis. it's insane.

    there's a good chance the cubs win the division, but there is absolutely no reason to be confident of that in any way. it's basically a crapshoot at this point. whatever advantage they have in talent obviously isn't enough to pull away. If you feel there is a good chance, then that's better than a crapshoot. That said, I'm pissed right now. I horsefeathering hate the Brewers. all 3 teams have a good chance at the division

    weird time to resurrect the duke nonsense but alright Assuming no ridiculous sell off by us or injuries and no team winning like 35 of 46 or whatever the Brewers did we are still winning this division. The talent sucks, but we suck least. there's a good chance the cubs win the division, but there is absolutely no reason to be confident of that in any way. it's basically a crapshoot at this point. whatever advantage they have in talent obviously isn't enough to pull away.

    idk why you're stuck on the brewers when the cardinals exist and look like the best team in the division. The Brewers aren’t relevant outside of H2H games, they really suck. And the Cardinals aren’t a good team but hey, they had a nice 9 game run or something. We’ll be fine. weird time to resurrect the duke nonsense but alright

    Cubswin11, that's what makes me want to punch a hole in the wall, which I would do if I wasn't worried about me breaking it. We have more talent than the Brewers. And I don't like the fact that we don't stomp them into the ground a lot more than we should since the early part of last season. It's really starting to irritate the horsefeathers out of me. idk why you're stuck on the brewers when the cardinals exist and look like the best team in the division.

    he's pitched in plenty of games already, he's not in spring training mode I mean, he's pitched 11 innings. 11 max effort innings. he's been in the majors for a month now. rust is not even close to an excuse at this point.

    24 strikeouts, 3 walks, and 10 hits for the cubs offense so far this series. it's like we never left the end of last season.

    just a complete disaster of a season. start the rebuild and get rid of theo when his contract runs out. we can't afford to let him cripple this franchise with more bad signings. it;s just one huge misfire after another.

    the fact that maddon used hendricks for 90 pitches and then couldn't use kimbrel in the 8th is horsefeathering infuriating. it's like he's going out of his way to exploit our awful middle relief for other teams. and he's been doing this for years. he did it in game 7 of the horsefeathering world series.
