Yeah, I didn't say that. I said you and your angsty ilk were all were prematurely ejaculating doom, and I stand by it. I'm curious; what makes you say that? What aspect to the story at that time lead you to believe that the Atlanta deal, or another comparable deal, would still happen? Do you still believe that, and, if not, what changed your mind? A couple things. First, not sure if you were around when the deal first stalled, but the hand-wringing in response to a Dempster tweet like "what trade? I wasn't told about any trade" was tremendous and insufferable. Then later, a post that went almost unacknowledged brought up the 24 hour window, so I kind of figured there was a trade and he wanted a day to think about it before accepting. Then, in an admirable act of professionalism, Wren came out and laid all the blame on Dempster and informed us that he was moving on. He didn't have to and shouldn't have done the former, and the latter was necessary lip service, IMO. I believe 1) that the deal is still on the table, despite what Wren says and 2) that the threat of a qualifying offer will pressure Demp to accept the Atlanta trade IF Hoystein don't get their price from LA.
