    GOD DAMMIT LOU. When will the love affair with Theriot end? I, for one, am actively rooting for Theriot to totally suck from the start. It might take a while, but eventually Theriot will get moved down in the line-up and we might even be shopping for a SS at the trade deadline or (GASP) give DeRosa a chance. It's almost as if Lou is more interested in sparing Theriot's feelings than DeRosa's and that's just ridiculous. We have to just hope the front office finds out what we already know before it really hurts our team.

    I'm sure he got the wink from Girardi. Whatever, It is a lose-lose in my opinion. They go back at the Devil Rays and they are the [expletive] Yankees to all the haters. If they let the play go then they are wusses. Whatever. IMHO, Girardi is sending a message that is a long time coming. It is time the Yankees started to play with passion again. But they've had a one-man intangible machine who wins games all by himself and risks bodily harm to record meaningless outs! What more could you ask for?

    I hope he's concerned about this. It's his job to be and to get the team ready to play come Opening Day. Derrek Lee will hit, and likely as soon as he needs to. Risking overextending anyone, especially him, is the opposite of smart.

Remember, Dusty Baker is "managing" in Cincy now. What does this have to do with anything? He was making a joke at the expense of Dusty's tendency to overuse and abuse young pitchers into injury. I understand, I was just having a hard time connecting what Dusty Baker does in Cincy with what some kid does in San Francisco. Ah, I just got it now. I'm stupid.
