    How much worse than a .672 OPS does he have to do to qualify as "completely tanks" i don't care about OPS. if theriot gets on base at .325 clip or so, that's all right. ronny's .271 obp in 2006 was not all right. :shock: I don't see why you are so sure Ronny is going to suck so bad once given another chance. And if Soriano's SLG can make up for his crappy OBP in the leadoff spot, then why can't Ronny's at the 8 spot?

    This would make SOME sense if he didn't put Granderson 7 slots lower than Grady. And I love the inclusion of Evan Longoria after the disclaimer "I will not put prospects on my list."

    Don't underestimate the difficulty of playing CF in Wrigley. I know Jacque did it pretty well, but that doesn't mean it isn't tougher than average out there (mainly due to the bricks and basket).

    If Cedeno falters, replace him with somebody else next year, and keep Theriot on the bench. I wonder if Cedeno is doing something/not doing something that really angers Lou. I've read a few times where they were disappointed in his work ethic and other things he's done that are not something you do when you're a young guy trying to make a team. Plus, he's a bonehead on the bases. I'm thinking he doesn't catch the damn ball Has he been misplaying the ball this spring? I was referencing Lou's tirade from last year regarding mainly Murton. Can't speak for Cedeno's spring performance, but despite his good range he has been a bit error-prone over his career.

    He's also a good bet to eventually implode with disaster start after disaster start. And he's guaranteed big money this year and next. I want him traded ASAP. But I can live with him in the rotation right now, assuming he does maintain that halfway decentness. The question is, do we want to pay him to suck for us or to suck for someone else?

    This is exactly right, and I thought I had made this clear. If Theriot duplicates his June or July (I can't remember which) of last year in April, we are in big trouble once he inevitably comes down to earth. We need him to perform like we all know he is going to perform early on in the season for the sake of our team. I'm not gonna boo the kid in the stands or anything. How is that radical or objectionable at all?

    14 of 16 Sweet 16 teams left. Really not inventive with my bracket this year - picked a lot of 1s and 2s just because they had the easiest roads to the final four. If UCLA doesn't make the final four this year, they are an absolute disgrace to their great history, given how easy their road is. By far the weakest bracket and it's already been busted all to hell. I feel like i'm gonna lose at least one more S16 team today because Duke is going down to WVU in a little bit here. Final Four is UNC, GU, UT and UCLA
