  1. What stands out about that is that the strike zones in DSL are generally considered bigger than what it is stateside, so if the guys are taking walks, then that's showing some discipline and laying off some pitches. I would think the opposite; that the larger strike zones would give those walks less merit, as the pitches would be missing more than they'd need to in the US

  3. Awesome, thank you. What's the consensus (if there is one) on who between the two has the bigger ceiling?
  4. After looking at that writer's preseason top 20, I noticed he had neither Archer nor McNutt before this year. I understand Archer had awesome stuff, but huge command problems that disappeared this year, but what about McNutt? Why did he shoot up so quickly? Was he walking the world before, too?
  5. If I know anything about GR, it's definitely that he can only find ONE reason why Lou should be fired.
  6. It was part of the deal they worked out with him. The White Sox moved him into the bullpen because of concerns about his workload this past year and agreed to call him up at some point during the year to pitch out of the pen. Next season, he moves back to the rotation. At the major league level?
  7. "Those peaks and valleys must be murder" HAHAHAHAH
  8. It HAS to be Posey's to lose, right? RIGHT?
  9. Notta, Cardinals traded Wallace to the A's in the Matt Holiday deal. A's sent Wallace to the Jays for Michael Taylor (I think?) Cool, thanks.
  10. Ok I was going crazy trying to figure out if this was the Cardinals' guy or not. What did Stl get from the Jays for him?
  11. Nice, MacPhail. Sorry, Bobby V, but we really want BUCK SHOWALTER. What the [expletive]
  12. Milton was bad in his first year here, Lee has a track record and has built up goodwill with the fans and community. There's a really big difference there. Not as bad as Lee has been this year with hardly any complaints from the media. One got torn to shred, and the other hasn't really been touched. First half of Milton's season last year and first half of Derrek's this year.. Bradley last year: .243 .379 .381 .760 Lee this year: .233 .329 .366 .695 This directly correlates to my post that Derrek's been pretty well protected by the Chicago media because he's perceived to be a quiet leader/nice guy to the media. MAN could that guy get on base. I still kinda miss him, I loved that everybody hated him and I knew better
  13. Way to go Hendry, lower his value even more! :P I assume you meant "raise it." I'm actually pretty excited about this trade. I think Hendry knows that this may be his final opportunity to salvage a part of this season. He should also have low expectations for next, so he might even consider this to be a make-or-break trade to keep his job.
  14. I was always under the impression that Happ was a pretty stellar prospect. Was he just another benificiary of the east coast hype machine? Or did Joe Morgan just say something stupid one time and I believed it?
  15. That guy is really exciting. I really hope he harnesses his control. If he does, he has quite a ceiling
  16. Now Lee doesn't hustle? No, he just stands at first all game like a bum
