    Let me get this straight. You say that Lovie is normally risk-averse to his team's detriment, but then because he took a big risk yesterday, that you didn't agree with, and that ended up hurting the team, you're going to praise him for it? Just because I wouldn't have done the same thing doesn't mean I can't find something about the decision that I choose to like, yes. I like to call those "lowered expectations"

    Also take into account that those would likely have to be all road/neutral games, with no benefit of a home game next year for either. I think it's a bit much to ask

    i agree with all of this wholeheartedly. You really shouldn't. The Heisman is awarded to the best amateur football player. Reggie Bush wasn't an amateur. He doesn't get it. The only thing wrong with this is that it took so long. I'm ok with nobody getting it that year, and I'm ok with VInce getting it. As long as Reggie doesn't.

    I'll never understand the casual/uninformed sports fan's hate for Kosuke. He has a funny name, he plays great defense, he hustles and he maintains a high BA. He's a David Eckstein/Aaron Miles lover's wet dream. Only he's good EDIT: He is an amateur scout's favorite whipping boy, though. I can't tell you how many times I've heard some [expletive] say he pulls away from the ball or some [expletive]. Dude closes his stance as quickly as anyone in the majors. Even if they were right (and they're not), it wouldn't matter at all.

    I lived in Iowa for the majority of my life and made trips all over the state, into Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and of course, to Illinois. Central/Southern Illinois is the worst place to drive than I've seen. The drive from Chicago to Macomb seems to take 6x as long as the drive from Chicago to Des Moines or Chicago to StL. Yikes.
