  1. Voted for DJ Wilson here; figure Vogelfat will win this easily. I still don't like Vogelbach much. For a bat-only player, he just hasn't provided enough of that single thing he's supposed to do so well. YMMV
  2. I only made it to one game last year at Wrigley...the Cole Hamels no-hit game. I've never witnessed, in person, the Cubs beat the Phillies. I'm something like 0-7.
  3. 1. Willson Contreras 2. Gleyber Torres 3. Eloy Jimenez 4. Dylan Cease 5. Albert Almora 6. Ian Happ 7. Jeimer Candelario 8. Billy McKinney 9. Eddy Julio Martinez 10. Duane Underwood/Victor Caratini

  5. It was also a convenient place to drop a deuce, but I don't feel nostalgic about it.
  6. 18 yr Chivas here Whatever I can find laying around the house here.
  7. I like Jess Mendoza, and the misogynistic Cubs fans can horsefeathers-off just like similar fans of other teams. I want to like Glanville, but I find him boring AF.
  8. This isn't a thing. It's the kind of thing Christian Rights peeps cite all the time. I find it laughable, but whatevs. Like Bull says we live in America, so express away.
  9. :waves: Jessica for me, please.

  11. I went w/ Contreras, though for me it is a virtual coin-flip between he & Torres. I totally understand the concern over lack of track record, but given his position, and relative lack of AB's until 2015, I'll cut him some slack. I want to believe in Almora, but I need to see more than a two month stretch of good numbers as he hasn't done much since he was in Peoria in 2013.
  12. I sneaked into the playoffs, and won a semi-final in one league last night thanks to Brees + Cooks. Of course, Brees fucked up his right foot & is getting an MRI. If he misses week 16, I will literally have no QB (in this league, we use blind bidding only, no free waivers, and I spent the last of my bidding $$ last week to grab Denard Robinson after losing Jonathan Stewart & Blount). It's been a terrible year for injuries, especially in this particular league.
  13. [tweet]https://twitter.com/JasonHeyward/status/677267131076091905[/tweet] By "iou" does J-Hey mean "a four wheeled conveyance"?
  14. How many guys can we put in the pen?!? http://i.imgur.com/5C6uXWM.gif
  15. Smart signing, but I still despise this dooshbag.
  16. Newcomb is extremely good and a good bet to be a top 25 guy going into 2016. Quite honestly I'm shocked a pitching starved team like the Angels would make this deal unless they know something about Newcomb's arm that others dont. The fact that it's used for pitching is enough for me to be underwhelmed by the Braves return in this deal.
  17. The robots' programmers will just be bribed instead then. In Dykstra's fantasy land, anyway.

  19. I'll feel much better about the Cubs chances when Rizzo & Bryant start hitting. Hope Jake bounces back from his game 3 NLDS performance. Oh, and Daniel Murphy...seriously? Time to wake up from your dream run and remember your lifetime 109 wRC+
  20. The World Series-winning dong to be hit by one of Rizzo/Bryant/ Schwarber/Soler.
