  1. But the pandemic losses were biblical, dude. You just don't understand.
  2. WTF is wrong with ties? :ducks:
  3. The predictable #bothsides'ism among my circle of baseball fan acquaintances is amusing to the extent that any shade cast at owners is merely subterfuge to appear objective. Fans hating the players they watch getting paid will always confuse me.

  5. If it doesn't include weekly recipes utilizing thick onion gravy, I have no interest.
  6. Even disregarding my woke racial sensitivity concerns, Braves fans continuing to do the Chop (and the coverage always so eager to show crowd shots of it), is super horsefeathering lame. It's right there with the Wave.
  7. He'll fit in. I assume that's the point.
  8. And I'm very wary of anyone related to the Cubs with the last name Hawkins. Carter is cool because it reminds me of who made the final out in the 1998 Wild Card tiebreaker I just appreciate this diversity hire, taking a guy from a non-Ivy.
  9. He has two last names. Can't be a good sign.
  10. I went to one of my nephew's little league games in July. Any shred of faith I had left in humanity left me that day.
  11. Right wing ecosystem will just do it for him. [tweet] [/tweet]
  12. I want the Dodgers to come back in the SF series and win it all if for no other reason than it'd piss off a group of awful** Cubs fans I know. Their only reason for hating the Dodgers is that the Cubs couldn't/didn't do what the Dodgers have done.. **their baseball takes are not what make them awful, to be clear
  13. Also Heyward with the bat.
  14. A future GOP senator.
  15. If he lets me throw $50 worth of coins at him, I'm game.
  16. Hermosillo is not really playing though. For reasons.
  17. Once one has decided that the biggest problem this Cubs team has is Nico Hoerner playing SS, no subsequent observation is necessary. The Brewers are running away with the division and have one of the best records in the ML bereft of impact bats. Of course, they have outstanding pitching and a smart manager, and front office. Nice strawman. But coming from the guy who swore Kimbrel would net very little in a mid-season trade, not shocking.
  18. Well, once one has decided that Nico Hoerner is any kind of solution for a team bereft of impact bats, no subsequent observation should surprise.

  21. Javy did it better. And cooler. 100%
