This thread is funny. I've never posted at cubs.com, so I stopped over there the other day to see why there are so many references to that place in various threads here. I now "get it". Why now? The testing is still pretty lax. well home runs are down by more than 10% this year - if anyone can give me an explanation for that other than performance-enhancing drugs, i'd sure like to hear it randomness weather baseballs that aren't juiced That's my gut reaction too.. -
Yeah, keep in mind they did little against Bucholtz; they spanked around an ineffective starter for 9 runs. It was nice to see some signs of life from the offense, but this is simply an anemic offense.

I think Lou just needs to put Sori in the 5-hole (once he's back) and leave him there. I liken it to Frank Robinson forcing his move to LF last year--Sori didn't like it at first, but once he got used to the idea, he put up a career year. I think he just needs to be told what his role is, and let him figure it out from there.

Cliff needs to reside on the bench next to Lou. Marquis needs to not get lit up like a Christmas tree tonight. I doubt either happen....
