  1. Morel is apparently trying to reenact Javy’s debut, so might need to get it to extras before he can help. Just have PCA do it.
  2. Can’t be too mad about it, that swing brings back so many good memories
  3. Swanson has been really encouraging. Need more than 2 runs, giving up 4 through 5 with a back of the rotation starter here isn’t some huge disaster.
  4. There is absolutely no evidence that boxberger will provide anything of value this year, but….someone’s got to pitch I guess.
  5. Yeah I've been a little surprised by how Little has basically been invisible since his (solid, I think?) debut a week ago or whatever. And will be a little annoyed if he immediately throws Boxberger into a high leverage situation. Hopefully he's just here to be a body until Stroman is ready in a few days.
  6. Last annoying post of the night, probably. Go score 14 runs tomorrow, idiots.
  7. Well 5-6-7 is a little better. Bottom 8 must have happened while I was focused on MNF.
  8. We're really rolling with Smyly against 2-3-4 huh
  9. Hope you guys enjoyed that 4 minutes of happiness. Now everyone resume their normal positions.
  10. Gomes should have been getting all the credit Tauchman got all summer. Team can fight, man.
  11. Look I'm on record as saying Cuas sucks. He does. But the implication is that we're leaving some shutdown pitcher in the pen that is capable of getting 7 outs and we just don't have that. Like, how dare David Ross not go to Drew horsefeathers Smyly against a righty. Is that what all the anger is really about?
  12. Lol I could have sworn this was a quote that other people have cited here, but I can't find anything definitive. If a manager has a good bullpen, he's going to look good. If he has a bad bullpen, he's going to look bad. He has a bad bullpen. That's not on him.
  13. We've hit 12 balls over 95 mph today. Big picture it's been a little discouraging, today it's a lot of hard hit balls not ending up as hits. Yes, I know I'm contradicting myself from like 4 minutes ago. Oh well.
  14. I just don't think he has options and is desperately trying to find a couple more reliable pieces now that we have somewhat of a head start on a playoff spot. I'm more made at Hoyer than Ross, though in his defense it didn't really seem like anyone picked up a huge amount of help, so maybe it just wasn't out there.
  15. Honestly though, and this is probably one of those things that we think only happen to our teams but actually happens everywhere, but.....this team horsefeathers hates putting a game away. You're in Coors, and you know this pen is falling apart, 3 runs isn't going to cut it.
  16. Well, we have 6 outs in Colorado to make up for this Cuas blow up that has been coming for a while now. If we can knock Cuas out of the circle of trust he never belonged in and all we have to do is scrape together 2 runs in Coors....it could be worse.
  17. This is grimly telling that we're sticking it out with him right now.
