  1. It's the first time they've ever held an event like this.
  2. We have one left and Nunn, Parker, and Hamilton still are uncommitted. Picking up Orris was stupid. I don't know about that. Not saying Orris is a world beater or anything, but nothing wrong with taking a #1/2 PG with skills. Parker is NOT going to UI. Nunn is NOT going to UI. Hamilton is over-hyped.
  3. :puke: Monday Night is pretty much the only clear-cut prediction on the list imo, but there are some real turds on the bill for this weekend. EDIT - I guess Baltimore is a pretty easy pick too. But all the other games are extremely meaningful.
  4. I think PSU football is gonna feel this one without any help from the NCAA
  5. I don't think it matters. Ricketts has probably told Theo and Jed to do whatever they need to do to make this team a contender. If it means eating 75% of a contract, they probably have the ability to do it. Furthermore, this probably means Soriano's days are very numbered. You're talking like they have to get rid of Zambrano and Soriano to contend. Meaning if Theo and Jed feel Z and Sori need to go, they can do what they need to do to make it happen. That wasn't the case with Hendry? Probably not actually. I highly doubt Ricketts gave Hendry the go ahead to eat either one of those contracts knowing he was going to fire him.
  6. "Carlos Zambrano is a heckuva competitor." I really like the way Moore is thinking right now.
  7. I think the Bears get outta this one with a win. Bears 27 Lions 23
  8. Lovie postgame: "The Chicago Bears shouldn't come in and be 8 point underdogs"
  9. The key for me tonight is limiting the Philadelphia running game. Anyone who watches the Bears regularly realizes they aren't gonna shut down the opposing passing game. If McCoy/Vick can be held to under 120, I think the Bears win.
  10. When I was in Philly for the Cubs series a couple years ago my Dad and I were chatting with a Phillies fan at the bar beforehand (Chickie & Pete's I believe) and he offered us up 2 of his 4 season tickets for the game for FREE. They were awesome seats for that park, like 15th row behind the dugout. Really nice guy. Not ALL Philadelphia fans are evil...
  11. Bad moves
  12. What is Keady's role right now? Who is the interim? Lavin hired Keady as a special assistant and adviser last year. What that means, essentially, is that Keady could advise the St. John’s coaches at staff meetings and help plan practices but that he was not allowed to coach on the floor. I'm not positive if that's the case again this year or not, I'd assume so. Assistant coach Mike Dunlap is taking the reigns right now I think. I'm not actually a St John's fan, just CBB (& the Illini) in general.
  13. Very tough game to predict, but betting is about value. And there is value in Bears +8: Lovie typically good at preparing team with extra time/night games, Bears have owned Vick in the past, veteran team, it's 2 scores. Chris Conte/Major Wright may be the 2 guys who could cost them tonight.
  14. St Johns should struggle big time early on this year. 1 returning player, 3 freshman suspended, Lavin still out.
  15. I think we may finally see a Williams breakout this week. They'll surely be trailing and he's getting his Targets. Bills are gonna try to run the ball all day and SJ is pretty much done IMO.
  16. Meh, thats Eagles +2.5 if the game was at Soldier Field right It would actually be Bears +2.5
  17. That would make it tougher then.
  18. I think you have to go with Murray. He did well again last week, Dallas just fell behind by a ton. I refuse to trust Reggie Bush.
  19. I entered -- I'm gonna get about 7 right. That was hard.
  20. Big fan of Willingham, but where does he play unless Soriano gets moved?
  21. There's just so many random guesses....no idea where to start with someone like Andruw Jones. I'd say 25-30 is enough.
  22. I just traded SJax, Nate Washington & Mike Thomas for AJ Green, VJax & Reggie Bush. I feel pretty good about it as I still have Forte, Benson & Shonn Greene at RB. Now starting AJ Green, Maclin & Jimmy Graham at WR.
