  1. Just pretty funny when Crean is one of biggest foot stompers in the business.
  2. Were the doofuses in the student section chanting "Harris sucks?" God, IU is loathsome. "Sit down Izzo" was awful. Don't they realize he's the best in the business and was 100% correct in his whining to the officials? Some bad calls in that one, per usual in the Big Ten.
  3. So, do we have predictions? I think it's a no brainer....Ravens. The +4 or whatever is only gravy, been tailing this team for a while now.
  4. As for additional night games, I think they only really need to add Friday night games to be similar to the rest of the league. The first two games of a three game series are usually night games anyways. And, like most teams, getaway days, Saturdays (due to FOX) and Sundays are day games. And I agree with the general sentiment in this thread regarding the selfishness of Wrigleyville residents. If it weren't for the Cubs, their inflated property values wouldn't be so high. You really think the actual residents or "Wrigleyville" or Lakeview have any say about this? Get a [expletive] clue.
  5. Bleachers are great for batting practice, not much else.
  6. You should
  7. Dude, Philly's getting a Delmon 1.3 [expletive], for that price, I'd have happily gotten a Delmon, warts and all. And while it's likely that this marks the end of the Phillies as a suitor for Soriano, Young joins Dom Brown, Darin Ruf, John Mayberry, and Laynce Nix in a battle for the Phillies 2 corner OF spots. None of the 5 strike me as sure things, especially to an aging team in win now mode. delmon young is terrible, it doesn't really matter how much money you're paying him Except when traded mid-season.
  8. One thing I don't like is down the LF line where they are extending the bleachers over non-bleacher seats. So are the people standing up in the OF going to just be accidentally spilling beer on the heads of other fans?
  9. Yeah, Kirk is shooting very poorly this year.
  10. Musial also missed his 24 year old season due to WWII I'm assuming.
  11. Big Ten on the road Yeah I mean, it's easy. Pros bet on Iowa, the public bets on Wisconsin. Pros win. I think maybe the only home underdog I've lost in the Big Ten this year was Nebraska vs. Purdue the other night.
  12. Anyone see Castro? Looks like he's beefed up considerably.
  13. I had to look up Mel Tucker.
  14. They have been fairly unlucky with injuries as well. He's not that far off from getting some recruits at the Bo Ryan-level more consistently. I'm actually a Carmody fan.
  15. True, but Ross has probably been a bit more of an "everyday player" than SHairston. Interesting note -- I sat next to Cody Ross & Aaron Boone and their families at a luau last month in Maui. Got drunk and talked to him in the bathroom. Weird for him I'm sure, indifference for me.
  16. C'mon, who's giving Scott Hairston $8M/year?
  17. why, because he was in the news and everyone recognizes his name? luck may have had a prolific year, but it wasn't particularly efficient. He was also a rookie
  18. NFL bettors only remember the last thing they saw. The more ridiculous line IMO is Ravens +9 @ NE. Gronk would have really posed a matchup problem for them.
  19. lmao...what an idiot.
  20. Do players put the Cubs on their no trade lists because of day games?
  21. Agree...and I feel like I got screwed off that +2.5
  22. I agree that the 49er D will pose a problem for the Packers, the question is...will it matter? Rodgers has already been sacked the most in the league and that hasn't seemed to bother them much. Even if he gets sacked 4-6 times, they have the weapons to make big plays and reverse momentum. This is not to say the 49ers can't win the game, they obviously can. I just question whether or not Kaepernick can keep up with the scoring that's going to be necessary. Even with a good performance the 49er D could still allow 24 points.
  23. How on earth does Teddy Greenstein have a vote?
