  1. I know Matt Chico fairly well from my days working for the South Bend Silverhawks (Diamondbacks Low Class A team). Matt was a fairly promising prospect for them a couple years ago. He was a 3rd or 4th round pick, I believe, who excelled rather quickly through their system. From the looks of that picture it seems he has put on a lot of weight. His numbers are definitely not what they should be if he still has the stuff he used to have.
  2. Cheaper than $20??
  3. According to the probables, Micah Bowie pitches on Tuesday. thanks, i must have heard that wrong. No. You didn't hear wrong. I heard Len say the same thing at the end of the broadcast today. Len actually said Bowie is pitching the next game broadcast on WGN (which would be Tuesday).
  4. Don't have tickets until tomorrow. But you better a believe a bunch of my buddies and I are getting ready to fire up the grill a couple blocks from the stadium. Just need to make a beer run now. Let's continue to own Mr. Sheets please.
  5. Count on him being drafted in the first. Bad call.
  6. Agree completely.
  7. In this draft? They couldn't move up at all. They'd have to give up a core guy to move up 2, 3 spots. Why do you say that? The middle to end of the 2nd round isn't that great. Some teams may want the 2 picks. Misread your post. Thought you were talking about moving up in the first round. Yes, Garwilly is correct. I meant swapping both 2nd rounders for a slightly higher 2nd rounder. Not sure the Bulls would do that, or another team for that matter, but it could make sense.

  9. If the Bulls packaged their 2nd rounders, how high could they move? 6-7 spots?
  10. This is my concern. Ugly, yes, but I'm more worried that he's going to usurp Rasheed Wallace's title as biggest crybaby in the league Haha, I could see Rasheed kicking the crap out of him strictly for being annoying.
  11. He should be gone long before the Bulls pick in the 2nd. I bet he falls in the 17-24 range of the first round. If Big Baby is drafted in the first round, somebody is getting ripped off.
  12. I'll be pissed if the Bulls take Noah. What you see is what you get...he's not going to get much better. I love Corey Brewer (I think of Tayshaun Prince). I also think Crittenton is going to be a guy to watch from this draft. His body reminds me a lot of Billups.
  13. If Lee drops the appeal he has to sit out five games. With the appeal, he may have it reduced to four or three. I know the Nats/Pirates have been bad and teams we should beat, but I wouldn't go automatically marking a bunch of "W's" with our without Lee. No, but I would rather play the Nats/Pirates 5 games w/out Lee than someone else 4 games without him (and let's face it, it probably doesn't get lower than 4 games).
  14. Would it be wise for Derrek to just drop the appeal and sit out the Nats/Pirates games?
  15. Santo to George Thorogood during the interview: "So George, when you were touring you went to 50 some states?" "Yes.........50"
  16. I plan on it. When they debut a page it's expensive. Then it drops unless it's a page that gets a lot of traffic. If no one has Gallagher when his gets in the $15 range, I'm going to sponsor it as well. What's the point of sponsoring those pages?
  17. Maybe the reason "puff pieces" are written about Ryno is because there is not a lot of bad things that can be said about him (other than the delusional rantings of Cubette of course). He wasn't a selfish player, his teammates loved him, his opponents admired him, his players respect him and he was never suspected of using steroids. Other than marrying his high school sweetheart who turned into a philandering wench, the guy didn't make a lof of mistakes. Actually, to be truthful, Ryno isn't exactly the friendliest person in the world.
  18. I actually have a bad feeling about today. Would have liked to see Pie in the lineup. And Hirsh's stats are actually pretty good on the road & during the day.

  20. There were conflicting pronunciations last night... Is is Pea-trick or Pet-rick? Len and Bob confirmed it was Pet-rick. Yup. The old Lansing announcer back in the day would mispronounce his name. Cool, thanks. Was at the game last night so didn't hear them say that. You miss a lot of good info without announcers.
