  1. And how sweet would it be to sweep the Cardinals. But I keep telling myself that we have already won the series. Not that I'm throwing in the towel, I'm just trying to put a positive spin on things. Plus Jacque is coming up next inning. He's on a hot streak now!!
  2. I was just going to say that. It's not a matter of if they are going to mention it, it's when they are going to mention it.
  3. At least Lee won't be able to ground into a DP this time up.
  4. i like Williams a lot more than Wuertz. Williams has been very erratic. I liked him better last year... I still like Williams over Wuertz though. Nice DP turn.
  5. As long as Ponson is in there we have a chance. And the Cards pen isn't as good this year. We just need to focus on not allowing any more runs.
  6. Leadoff hitter gets on. Lets turn this into a big inning. Why does Jon Miller get so excited on a grounder to the third baseman. Is that really necessary?
  7. Are you happy now Jon and Joe? Your golden boy finally got a hit in the series.
  8. Jon and Joe keep trying to reverse jinx Pujols. They are basically willing him to get a hit. At least Joe Buck isn't announcing.
  9. Nice pitch. I like that Marshall is talking to Maddux right now. Good sign. Now for the real test. Pujols.
  10. It still is a boneheaded move, success or not. But if Wuertz gets out of it, then it will look like a good move.
  11. If Wuertz screws this up it could go down as the first major boneheaded move by Dusty for the year.
  12. He made one bad pitch to Rolen and thats it. Overall he pitched well. I'm not sure if I would have taken him out this early though. Here's hoping Wuertz gets out of it.
  13. Congratulations for everybody that predicted Jones would get his first hit before Wuertz made his first appearance. It was close.
  14. Dear Joe Morgan, Did you happen to see that on opening day the Cubs scored 16 runs with only 1 HR? Just thought you might like to know.
  15. That pitch looked exactly the same as the one Rolen hit out. And Jacque hit it perfect. BS call on Murton at first.
