for sure. Kyle is god awful as a setup or closer. He just will never be able to handle the pressure. 23 career blown saves and 21 total saves, with 99 holds. Take out the Leo Mazzone year and it gets even worse. The Boss blew one big time when he paid that joker 17m for 3 years. But he would make one hell of a linebacker. howry for 3 & 12 looks like a bargain. Definately.

even a blind squirrel can occasionally find an acorn. Kyle has all the talent in the world. Unfortunately he is saddled with a 2 cent head. but this obviously has nothing to do with poor coaching with the cubs, right? one couldn't possibly explain his success in 2005 by pointing out that he finally went to teams that could harness his talent, could they? this year is not a significant sample yet, either, so i'd wait until the end of the season before saying he's not going to succeed as a setup man / closer. How is it not a significant sample yet? It's 2 months, or 1/3, of the way into the year.

I know that the Cubs have problems with free agent signings, but the Mariners have Sexson and Beltre for a combined $15.9 mil. That's gotta hurt.

sorry Tiger, but I hardly fault Jones for that one. he ran, didnt taunt, just raised his finger (#1 style) in celebration It doesn't matter to me if it's taunting or celebration, you look stupid celebrating a home run that doesn't even give you the lead. What if it ties a game late in the game?
