  1. It doesnt matter how bad your defense is if you know exactly what the opposing team is going to do its not too hard to stop them. The Chiefs are really making it easy for them. They need to do some more play action and more passes on 1st and 2nd down. I think the Colts have known for a few weeks what teams were going to try to do offensively against them and they weren't able to do anything about it. They allowed 153 yards rushing to Ron Dayne so to hold Larry Johnson to 15 yards through most of the first half is quite the accomplishment.
  2. The Colts have been playing very well defensively and decent offensively. Their problem has been the inability to get touchdowns. The Chiefs on the other hand, well they just stink today.
  3. This is a very disappointing game thus far.
  4. Nice hands Reggie, where were they a couple plays ago when you could have picked up a first down?
  5. Ok, so who had Clemson in the pool for last unbeaten team in the nation?
  6. UGH. You suck Tynes. It's 23 yards. A high schooler could make that.
  7. Good, get a TD here KC and make Indy pick it up. Points please.
  8. Yeah, remind me how many times one conference has been favored in all its bowl games, and been favored by at least a touchdown in four of them? The Big East went 5-0 in large part because they had easy matchups. Maybe they played Buffalo because Howard, Eastern Washington and Temple already had commitments to play Big East teams. All teams do this. It's not exactly a new practice. I could go through all the major conferences and find a bunch of low DI-A and DI-AA schools that they schedule year in and year out. As for the first point, yeah, the Big East was favored. But they still went out and won the games. They could have packed it in, been ticked off they played crummy schools, and overlooked their bowl matchups. But they didn't. They went out and won the games that were given to them and that's all they could do. There was no sense complaining because it wasn't going to change anything.
  9. Come on Indy. I need touchdowns not field goals you bums.
  10. I am in complete concurrence with you. While neither would be fun, I'd much rather have a bruised jaw than an intrascrotal hematoma. Just my two cents. I'm in agreement here. Bruised nuts are no laughing matter. I'll take a punch to the face over getting hit in the nuts by just about anything.
  11. While I want the Colts to win, I just want to see the teams score a lot of points, let's just say, oh I don't know, more than 51.
  12. Horrible, horrible shot by Shipp and UCLA to end the game. UCLA goes down.
  13. Holy smokes. UCLA hits a 3 to tie, then Oregon comes down and hits a 2 with about 13 seconds left. UCLA ball following a timeout. ETA: I would love to see Collison or Afflalo take a three for the victory.
  14. And yet they're still in the game.
  15. That's funny Vance because that's how I view the SEC and Big 10. Plus, Thanks to Delaney (Big 10 Commish) we will NEVER have a playoff because he's too happy with the Rose Bowl the way it's set up now. But to a man, most of the big name coaches in the SEC are firmly in favor of a playoff. I know Miles, Myer, and Tubberville are for certain. But Vance we know who runs the SEC and it isn't the coaches. To be fair, have any of the major conference commissioners come out and said they would favor a playoff system? I don't think it's just the SEC and Big 10.
  16. UCLA making a nice little comeback here. They have a chance to cut it to 2.
  17. I was just coming here to do ATS picks for the weekend. Indianapolis (-7) over Kansas City Dallas (+2.5) over Seattle New England (-8.5) over NY Jets Philadelphia (-7) over NY Giants
  18. Replace that with Michigan, and DOUBLE SADLY and you'd be right. I know this will piss of Domer fans, and I honestly dont care, but can we stop sending ND to BCS Bowls? It bores the audience, it embarrasses Notre Dame, enough already. We get it, you guys can get 9-10 wins every year. But the last 2 years you were outclassed by the elite competition, you're stealing spots away from teams that deserve to go. Would it have been less boring to see LSU clobber West Virginia, the only other eligible team? And in 05, they got an auto-bid, not an invitation. They finished top 6 like any other outside of a BCS conference team would have had to to gain an auto-bid. FOR THE LAST TIME, I DISAGREE WITH THE THREE-TEAM RULE. IT'S A LOAD OF BALONEY. DOESN'T MAKE IT LESS OF A RULE. Hey, then we agree. Shoulda been Wisconsin in there. I don't even have a problem with ND in last year, but this year...eh...they didn't really deserve to go. Except that they did, given the circumstances. It was a down year for the top teams all over college FB, and normally ND's resume wouldn't have probably gotten them in, but this year it was them or West Virginia, and we all know who they're picking if it comes to that. Whether they had any chance to beat LSU is one thing, but by regular season alone, they had every right to be at the Sugar Bowl. Obviously I've been a Big East defender but under the circumstances (Slaton being hurt for the bowl game) I don't think West Virginia could have given LSU a game either. With Slaton it's a completely different story.
  19. You knew that exact sequence would happen? I knew he was going to miss at least one of the three FT's. Not the sequence though. ETA: After all, his name is Aaron Brooks.
  20. I knew this was going to happen. The Oregon player shooting the FT's was Aaron Brooks. He made the first, missed the second, and intentionally missed the third. Oregon couldn't get a shot off and fall from the ranks of the unbeatens.
  21. Wow. USC made the second FT to go up three but an Oregon player got fouled shooting a 3 pointer. 3 shots coming for Oregon.
  22. After a USC bucket, Oregon gets called for charging with 5 seconds to go. USC is going to the line up 83-81. USC missed the first FT and Oregon called a timeout.
  23. With back to back 3 pointers, Oregon has tied the game at 81.
  24. USC leads undefeated Oregon 77-73 with around 3 minutes to play. ETA: This game is in Eugene as well.
