  1. Jacque will: A) strikeout B) flyout C) 4-3 He's already done the other two so I'm going with a K this time.
  2. That wasn't the "one pitch in the one zone".
  3. 2nd and 3rd, one out. How will the Cubs blow this one?
  4. With that pitch count, he should be out there for the ninth. Have Demp warming up in case he gets into trouble but this is Marquis' game to finish.
  5. So do we bring in Dempster for the ninth or let Marquis close it out?
  6. Are you kidding me? Getting airborne gets rid of any chance a sudden earthquake, volcanic eruption, or any sort of seismic event would throw off his balance and force him to miss the ball. Awesome.
  7. Anyone have a pitch count for Marquis coming into the inning?
  8. Same question as last time: A) strikeout B) flyout C) 4-3 groundout
  9. You're officially on the hook for the blame if he doesn't do it.
  10. So how is this Jacque AB going to go: A) strikeout B) weak flyout C) tries to pull an outside pitch and grounds out 4-3
  11. Everybody is still recovering from last night. After all, that was nearly two games worth of posts.
  12. Does anybody know Murton's BABIP? It seems like he's been getting extremely unlucky lately though I could be wrong.
  13. Hit and on base streak continues for Lee. Only another 41 to top DiMaggio and another 50 or so to catch Ted Williams.
  14. Marquis has it going right now. He's looking good so far.
  15. I've got it on MLB.TV but I have the sound turned down and won't be paying too much attention because I have two articles due in the next few hours. I'll also have the Warriors game on in about 30 minutes though that will be muted while I'm writing.
  16. Must they swing at the first pitch all the time? Jacque's showing the most patience this inning.
  17. Hopefully this tennis match I'm covering doesn't last too long so I can be back to watch this game.
  18. Well, the next week should be interesting. Both teams have seven games at NYM and PHI (the Cubs have 4 and 3 while the Brewers have 3 and 4, respecitively) do lets hope the NL East can bring them back to earth.
  19. I still can't figure out why Lou called that. Jones racks up plenty of strikeouts as it is and that was a pitch he couldn't do anything with. The best result he could have gotten with that pitch was a foul ball out of play; that's pretty much it. I'm concerned with Lou's style of managing. While I don't think he's as prone to stupid and head-scratching decisions as previous managers, I think he tries too hard to micromanage the game. Part of this might have to do with a lack of familiarity with his players' strengths and weaknesses, which is understandable, but if this trend continues, I won't be too happy with it. I could understand it with Lee batting because you can be fairly certain he's going to make contact if you need him to. But not Jacque.
