I don't know how you can be mad at Z for that. He threw two or three pitches that anyone else in baseball would have swung and missed at. That's b/c he was going for the K and not the out like he always does. Ever since Z became more of a "strikeout" pitcher, his effectiveness has decreased accordingly. He doesn't as deep into games as he used to, his groundball to fyball ratio has plummeted, and he has already given up more homers this year than he did the entire '04 (??) season. He used to be able to negate the walks by giving up few homers and enducing many a double play. Now it just doesn't happen. I wish we had that old Z back. Not quite, but close. He's given up 11 HR's this year and gave up 14 in 2004. So he'll likely have given up more sometime in June.

I'll take full responsibility if the Cubs lose today. I was unable to watch the first two games of the series because of work (Friday) and the broadcast being on FOX yesterday. Although I was unable to watch the Mets games on Thursday so maybe it's not me. Either way, I'm watching this one and hoping for a good Z start.

Chelsea's central defenders are pretty poor. This was a very blah game. Man U were gassed, and both teams had been shellacked so hard by injuries that it's not hard to believe it took extra time to decide it. So it wasn't a very entertaining game?

well i wouldnt go that far as to movin them outta chicago....but after today i most def am close to the edge, so don't push cuz i'm bout to lose my head. F.U. CUBS Goddamit, I almost had a murderous rage today. I was throwing stuff against the wall. I almost put my foot through the TV. How can the Cubs lose like that. 5 runs in the 9th? Come the freak on! I'm depressed. But throwing things, putting your foot through the tv (almost)? Are you serious? Soriano12 thinks that reaction is a little excessive. -

Gee I don't know, maybe his .390 average, 17 doubles and 1.016 OPS, and his gold glove defense, but that's about it. I was assuming he was joking. At least I hope he was. It probably wasn't a joke. -

The talk has started. Speculation has the boo birds coming out in full force if he doesn't pick it back up against the Mets this weekend. The Boston series Monday-Wednesday could see the resumption of hostilities. I would LOVE it if the Yankee fans started booing him just a couple weeks after they loved him. I knew it would happen and it was only a matter of time. EDIT: I don't hate ARod, I just love it when New York fans make complete idiots out of themselves.

Then the NBA shouldn't have started the Bulls-Pistons series before the first round series were even over. Bulls-Pistons Game 1 was on the same day as Jazz-Rockets Game 7 and had Nets-Raptors gone seven games, they would have played Game 7 the day after Bulls-Pistons Game 1. Or why have two days off in between Games 2 and 3 and Games 3 and 4. If you only have one day in between one of these, Bulls-Pistons Game 6 would have been yesterday with a potential Game 7 tomorrow. Either way, the NBA screwed up and there is no reason there should be 3 full days off inbetween games of a playoff series (which has happened three times in this round).

I knew the Cubs were going to lose today. Just watch the Brewers win and then the Cubs won't gain a game on this East Coast trip - both teams will be 2-5. And it's sucks because the Cubs should have been 4-3 on this trip. -
