With another one today, the Padres have now hit at least one HR in 21 straight games. It's tied for the 13th longest streak ever. The record is 27 by the 2002 Rangers. Boston also had a streak of 22 earlier this year.

Listened to about 15 minutes of the Cards radio broadcast in the car on the way home from a River Cats game and the Cards PBP guy sounded half dead (or more likely drunk because it's the Cards). Just no excitement at all about anything. I know it was the 14th inning but the color guy had plenty of life in his voice. -

White Sox lost again to the Mariners on a walk off homer, this time in the 11th. They were up 5-2 but gave up 2 in the 7th and 1 in the eighth. Hawk gave a nice "Uh oh" right when the walkoff was hit. -

My thoughts exactly. It was almost like Theo/Jed got a hold of him and said "hey dumb [expletive] we aren't trading Schwarber, this is what you are going to say on air today." They should tell him to beat that info into Olney also.

I sent him a PM about starting the thread after you were done but weis went and did it. He never said anything so I figured he wouldn't care. If he wants his turn next, it's his.

They should have taken until he threw a strike. First three batters did that. Last two didn't. Szczur put himself in a hole by swinging at two pitches out of the zone. KB should have been 2-0. If he is, he probably takes the third pitch which likely would have been a ball as well. Just stupid.

Familia didn't throw strikes last time and he didn't this time. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
