  1. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/178705690/madison-bumgarner-wil-myers-have-altercation/ Bum doesn't discriminate. Could be a white player also.
  2. That's pretty much what I'm rooting for. I'd probably rather play the Nats but I'll be happy as long as it goes 5. That would knock out Kershaw/Scherzer until Game 3.
  3. Yep. Even when he was striking out 40% of the time (or whatever it was) in 2014, it was obvious that he was good enough defensively that if he could just be passable offensively, he'd generate enough value with the power and defense to be playable. He didn't hit great against RH (.689 OPS) but his K-rate was only 26.4% but it certainly wasn't disastrous. With how terrible he was in 2014, the progress he's made has been pretty impressive.
  4. Came across this from after Game 1 http://www.mercurynews.com/2016/10/08/giants-notes-bochy-still-perturbed-by-controversial-call-in-ninth-inning-of-the-cubs-game-1-victory/ First of all .. really Bruce? You want check swings to be reviewed? GTFO. And go ahead and ignore the extra 4 inches Cueto got on the outside corner for a chunk of the game, particularly on curveballs inside to righties/outside to lefties that were never strikes.
  5. Fangraphs hasn't updated yet but 538 has the Cubs at 92% to make the NLCS, 56% to make the World Series and 34% to win it.
  6. Two straight commercial breaks without a Buster Posey commercial. That's a new record.
  7. You'd think I would stop getting excited every time it looks like Heyward crushes a ball. I know odds are it won't get within 40 feet of the warning track, yet there's that instant of hope that he legitimately got one this time.
  8. Interesting move leaving Montgomery in. With the two lefties coming up I definitely get it.
