  1. So he'll have an average April in 2019 and then slowly improve before eventually becoming one of our better relievers? Sold!
  2. Cubs put up 9 tonight. Boom. Didn’t even take us 5 innings either.
  3. Even 6-6 makes it hard for Milwaukee. Let's say we went: 1-1 vs. Arizona 2-1 vs. White Sox 2-2 vs. Pittsburgh 1-2 vs. Cardinals Milwaukee would have to do something like: 2-0 vs. Reds 2-1 vs. Pirates 2-1 vs. Cardinals 2-1 vs. Tigers Just to tie. And aren't two-way division ties broken by head to head now anyway? We own that, too. Nope. They’d play a tie breaker game. Correct. The head to head would determine the location of the tiebreaker game. And I’m looking at it to where we would win outright. So 7-5 means 8-3 for the Brewers isn’t good enough.
  4. When he wins the MVP, this board is going to explode Why? He’s plenty deserving. It should probably go to one of the pitchers but Yelich over Javy wouldn’t be some egregious snubbing.
  5. 7-5 is fairly realistic and should be enough. Get it done, Cubs.
  6. One cheap ass bloop double away from a no hitter through 8.
  7. Kyle pitching like it’s Game 6 against the Dodgers, score and all.
  8. And then of course they get a dink double.
  9. Sigh. Actually thought that was going to be a hit for a second.
  10. That’s because we only hit like 2 a game so it’s easy to remember all of them.
  11. Didn’t throw a single pitch that would have been called a strike to Javy.
  12. Like 8 or 9 At Bat lists our magic number to eliminate the Cards for the division as 8 and they’re tied with LA for the second wild card so I assume it’s the same.
  13. Heard on the Baseball Tonight podcast that the Cubs are tied with the Marlins and Giants for second most games scoring 0 or 1 runs this year.
  14. You'd want St. Louis to beat Milwaukee? Does it have to do with them having to play Monday, Tuesday and then Thursday (against us) in that scenario?
  15. We have equal riff raff left, I’m hoping we can go 8-5. They’d have to go 11-1 to pass us, 7-6 should be good enough too. They’d have to go 10-2. Coming into today, their remaining opponent winning percentage was .465, ours was .470. That difference will change a bit because the Pirates are better than the Reds but not much. We both have 3 vs. the Cards, ours at home, theirs in St. Louis. We both play the Pirates, we get four at home, they have three in Pittsburgh. We both play a shitty AL Central team, ours is three at the White Sox, theirs is three home to Detroit. The one difference is we have three at Arizona and they have three home to Cincy.
  16. So Caratini (or a PH) somehow gets on and Bote walkoff dong.
  17. Good job Murphy. Finally get a hit and you don't realize you'll be meat at 2nd.
  18. Pitching doing it's job. Get two runs, Cubs.
  19. I would assume Iglesias for the last two innings.
  20. I’ll settle for a 2 run double I don't think it's physically possible for Almora to score from 1st in Wrigley Yeah, that's why I went with a dong.
