  1. This is how you know fWAR isn't to be trusted His highest bWAR was with the Brewers also.
  2. So we're allowed to win a series? Interesting. Who knew that was possible.
  3. I need a team or two to bandwagon on for the playoffs. Who should I be rooting for? No NHL thread so had to post this here.
  4. Reds are 2-8 with a +1 RD after beating Miami 14-0 tonight. They've lost 4 games by 1 run and 3 games by 2 runs already (all against the Brewers and Pirates).
  5. And also, he's been absolutely terrible at his job. Should probably can Pelinka also.
  6. Same here and I was rooting for Virginia. That was akin to the foot popping off the bag for a couple hundredths of a second but because the tag was kept on the runner, he's out. Like, technically the ball went off the Tech player but I don't think that's how replay should be used. Especially since there are instances where a guy gets hacked, the refs miss the foul call and the ball goes off the guy who got hacked so they give it to the team that committed the missed foul.
  7. I really don't get all the commotion over the foul call at the end of the Virginia game. The refs missed the double dribble on Jerome right before that, sure. But Guy was pretty clearly fouled at the end because the Auburn player ran into his leg. If the focus was on the double dribble, I wouldn't care. But it's on a call the referee got 100% correct.
  8. If we’re going down tonight, it’s got to be on a blown lead. Cubs lead by 3 or 4 going into the 7th to give us a bit of hope (could this be the start of a turnaround?) only for the pen to blow it again. Then we get rocked Sat and Sun. Well I was wrong.

  10. Chris Davis is 0-17 with 11 Ks. He does have 4 walks so his OBP is .190. He’s got an OPS+ of -38 and a wRC+ of -49. He’s also due $23M per year through the 2022 season.
  11. And his 5/145 extension doesn't start until the 2020 season.
  12. Only the 11th time since 2000 that a team has walked at least 6 batters in 5 straight games.
  13. DeGrom has a FIP of -0.30, an xFIP of 0.79 and has been worth 1 WAR already.
  14. Who gives a horsefeathers. I'm normally optimistic but I've got nothing right now.
  15. Weren’t we up like 5 games on the Brewers after taking 3 of 4 in Milwaukee the second weekend of the year last year? I don’t really care about standings at this point, just pointing out the obnoxious ways the Brewers are winning games. We were up 5 games on September 2 which, last time I checked, is much later in the season than April 3.
  16. Why does it feel cheap? Going 20-20-20 is insane.
  17. The slide was fine and both Ross and Kirkchian (sp?) were correct Oh, I agree with them. Ross is still a prick. Mariners Revenge apparently has resurfaced.
  18. i understand following the brewers and cardinals, but why do we need to keep track of their good players' numbers? like why would i want to know every time yelich hits a home run I'm not sure if you're aware, but this thread is called "2019 Other Games Thread". That means people post stuff that happens in other games. Yelich homered in a game that didn't involve the Cubs which, by definition, is an "Other Game". UMFan thought it was noteworthy so he posted it here. Sometimes people will post stuff about things you don't care about. But that's going to happen in a thread for posts about the 2268 games that don't involve the Cubs in a given season.
  19. Well, he just became the first guy to win regional MOP without actually winning the regional since Curry, so you probably have a point. I think they said during the broadcast that he had the most points through 4 games in tourney history. And that was before he scored a little more.
  20. horsefeathering Duke escapes again. In the last 10 seconds, Va Tech airballed an open 3, took a bad, long 3 that wasn't close and then missed a 2-footer on a great out of bounds play.
  21. Good to see Michigan forgot how to shoot today.
