It could be Wednesday the 30th also. They always leave the Monday blank for any make up games - which is when the Cards might have to make up a game or two against Detroit - and they won’t know about those until the last minute. Giving them Tuesday off also allows for makeup games Monday followed by a tiebreaker game on Tuesday if it involves the same team that plays Monday. They’ll probably wait a while and stagger the series. That way they could schedule series that aren’t likely to require tiebreaker games on Tuesday and ones that might on Wednesday. I swear I read that they aren’t doing tiebreaker games in order to have a more set schedule/avoid having like 5 tiebreaker games. They’re going off H2H, win % in division, etc. to settle tiebreakers. But yeah the 30th could be the start for some extra makeup. Doubt it’s later than that. I hadn’t heard that either way so you might be right on the no tiebreaking games thing.
