  1. People that change their avatar too much don't qualify. :P Yeah I still think of California as looking like Corey Patterson. Same height...played CF in high school...
  2. Second player they've taken from Miami, and they are four for four picking college players Can you list all 4 of their picks for me, please?
  3. Nate just told me he's never heard of you. Has anyone else formed a mental picture that Is_Pedro_There looks like Earl? yes Absolutely. Also NCCF is a red alien. I'm convinced. does that make me a can of shoe polish? Rumors that I'm shaped like a can of beer are cruel and totally off base. A keg? Maybe, but a can of beer definitly not! Does this mean you guys think I'm Cedric Bozeman based on my avatar? no, because there's pictures of you floating around. So now you're stalking me?

  5. Colvin will fit right in. I trust Wilken. We shall see...
  6. Techincally, Pawelek had two starts last season in Boise and Grant was a second rounder.
  7. Talk about a project/reach. All that keeps me going is that I trust in Wilken.
  8. That makes a bit of sense. Gonna need a lot of money to woo Jeff. Is this kid from ND worth the Money? He's definitely first round talent, probably top 20-worthy. Of course, he's probably top-20 worthy in the NFL draft too.

  12. Except he isn't a safe pick. If they wanted a safe pick, they could have gone with the likes of an Antonelli. The only thing I can say is I have some faith in Wilken. I hope he knows what he's doing.

  14. I'd be willing to change my pick to Snyder since the Jays are getting so much pub with him in the last 36 hours.
  15. I can update the first post with the picks as they are made (though I might have to go a bit after the first round) but I'm ty pretsure there will be someone who will post the picks faster than me since my connection isn't the best.

  17. He was ranked #42 by BA on May 25th, so somehow, he's gone up the draftboard. He had a mediocre senior season and was hampered by leg injuries. He's a five-tool SS, though, comparable to Bobby Crosby or JJ Hardy. He has good bat speed and a good feel for the strike zone, but he needs to make changes to his swing and approach at the plate. Solid runner and solid defensively. Definitely not someone I want to see the Cubs pick, especially with Snyder, Chamberlain, Scherzer and Jeffress still on the board. I really hope that we don't take a college pitcher in the first round. We've already got good pitching depth, and taking another top pitcher would only further complicate the issue. With the way the bats have gone lately in our system, I'd much rather see us address that need. I want the BPA, no matter the position. The player is still at least a year away and who knows what will happen to the Cubs pitching staff with Maddux and Wood in their walk years.
  18. I don't get why the Cubs would do that. He's pretty much a lock to stay with football right? I could see a team with lots of picks taking their chances on a guy like this, but when you have only two picks in 5 rounds why waste one on a guy that's not going to play baseball? Perhaps he's not a lock to stay with football. At this point, he's the top-rated senior WR in the draft; even ahead of guys like USC's Steve Smith, Washington State's Jason Hill, and TTU's Jarett Hicks. I've seen a few mock drafts projecting him into the top 10 picks. I really can't see him leaving football right now. That doesn't take into account juniors - Dwayne Jarrett (USC) and Calvin Johnson (Georgia Tech) should go ahead of Smardzja - Teddy Ginn (Ohio State) might too. I don't think Smardzja's a top-10 pick next April.
