  1. A sig of THE DON is awesome, but Notorious' avatar wins out in the battle of avatars. Gotta represent the AC. Definitely. My new avatar is pretty pimp.
  2. This is why I wanted to send Neifi to the ASG instead. :x
  3. Well, the first time will be just that - the first time a Bear drilled any Ram. We usually just juke the Bears plodding linebackers and watch them tumble like Jenga blocks. It's good times. :D I gotta admit, the Rams under Martz were soft, but they were the greatest offense ever assembled - so it worked for them. Two trips to the Super Bowl in three years says something. Football is not all brute force of course, strategy wins. The Colts are softer though - hands down. Besides, the Rams are entering a new era and the dive to the turf to avoid the hit Rams are history now. Steven Jackson make it so. BTW, I hope I am not being viewed as trolling here, that's not my intentions. If I were I would just say Faulk > Payton but I am not that dumb. Wow, I've never heard anyone refer to Briggs or Urlacher as plodding.
  4. Certainly would have been cooler if Glaus had the go-ahead hit instead of Young.
  5. Highlights - McCarver calling Brad Penny's fastball 'boring' and then Penny goes out and strikes out the side to start the game with 97-98mph fastballs. - some pretty good pitching all around When he said "Boring", he was calling it a drilling fastball. For example, one can "bore" a hole into the wall or in this case into the catcher's mitt. He was praising Penny's fastball. Yeah. And I just want to point out Troy Glaus went to UCLA. He's pimp.
  6. A sig of THE DON is awesome, but Notorious' avatar wins out in the battle of avatars.
  7. Haven't seen any of the game (just got in), but I'm willing to bet John Legend has been the best part of the whole game.
  8. Shortest minor league thread ever?
  9. I edited my post quite a bit before you replied because I didn't want to egt into a big debate on this. Zidane is Muslim. By brown-skinned people, I mean people who aren't Muslim but are still targeted as "terrorists" for their skin color (like me). Did the derogatory name include connotations that MJ had killed thousands of innocent people? Zidane shouldn't have lost his cool in the situation, but I have a tough time thinking there's a derogatory name equivalent to "terrorist" in Western society, given its ramifications. Some of the people in this thread seem to dismiss the impact of that word. Don't forget that Zidane is Algerian and the second-class treatment they get in parts of Europe.
  10. I'll just say I agree with Truffle and I hope Materazzi meets a real terrorist.
  11. Probable Starter: Mesa: RHP Oscar Bernard (0-2, 4.50 ERA, 8 IP, 4/1, 1.75 WHIP)
  12. From what I've heard, his FB jumped up a few notches and is consistently in the 90-94 range. He has been recorded at 95 a few times in the SL, and supposedly hit 101 at one of his FSL starts (that gun probably isn't that reliable). He has two types of curves, one is a plus curve (a big league out pitch) while the other is loopy and probably not gonna do much in the big leagues. His slider is average to plus, depending on which scout you talk to and his changeup has improved a lot this season. He supposedly is working on a cutter too. Can't answer your other questions because I've never seen video of him.
  13. You'll get to see yourself pitch! Probable Starters: Daytona: LHP Donnie Veal (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 18.2 IP, 13/8, 1.02 WHIP) Peoria: RHP Scott Taylor: (4-4, 3.26 ERA, 77.1 IP, 32/15, 1.22 WHIP) vs. LHP Ryan Mullins (2-3, 4.23 ERA) Boise: RHP Mike Billek (0-0, 4.50 ERA, 4 IP, 2/0, 1.00 WHIP) @ RHP Eric Butler (2-1, 2.75 ERA)
  14. :?: Beloit at Peoria, 7:00 pm. That makes much more sense. Beloit is IN Wisconsin, not AT Wisconsin. :D Wisconsin has their own MWL team.
  15. Boise ends up losing 9-2. Muldowney's final line was the one I posted in my previous post. Alfredo Francisco came in and had an awful time, giving up 7 (5 ER) in 2 innings. Josh Lansford hit a 2-run HR in the top of the 9th for Boise's runs. Boise only managed 4 hits all game (1 against the starter, Valdez).
  16. First. Full. Season. 23. Years. Old.
  17. Boise down 2-0 in the middle of the 6th. Muldowney: 5 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 4/1. Their only hit was a 4th inning Alfred Joseph double. Camp and Joseph also have walks.
  18. But can he get AAA guys out for a full season? That's the real question. I have the same question about Rich Hill.
