  1. A 7th inning RBI single by Luis Montanez scored Augie Ojeda to give Iowa a 3-2 lead. They're now in the bottom of the 7th. Mesa is down 2-1 after 8. Robert Hernandez have given up 1 ER in 2 innings of work. Drew Rundle hit a solo HR, his first pro HR! He's now 2/4 with a double, solo HR and 2 Ks.

  3. Last chance for Boise, down 7-4 in the bottom of the 9th inning. Steve Clevenger leads off the inning with a stand-up triple! Elvin Puello strikes out swinging. Pinch hitter Mario Mercedes grounds out, 6-3. Clevenger scores to make it 7-5. Matt Camp grounds out, 5-3. Boise loses 7-5. Tyler Colvin ends up going 1/4 with that RBI single and 2 strikeouts.
  4. Outside of being more hittable at AA, Campusano has carried his success over from Peoria to West Tenn. Rundle now has struck out 2 times to go with his double. Albuquerque threw 2 shutout innings and has now given way to former third baseman Brandon Taylor in the bottom of the 5th. Taylor gives up 1 ER in 2 innings on 2 hits and the AZL A's take a 1-0 lead into the top of the 7th.
  5. Cuevas-Novas was solid in his debut: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K. Albuquerque has followed him with a shutout inning (1 K). Rundle is now 1 for 2 with another K. 17-year old third baseman Marwin Gonzalez has a single in his only AB. It's 0-0 after 3.
  6. Jeremy Papelbon gives up a 2-run HR (one of the runners was inherited from Alfredo Francisco). It's the first professional HR that Papelbon has given up and just the 3 ER he's given up this season. Boise is now down 6-4 in the middle of the 5th. Francisco: 4+ IP, 5 ER, 5 H, 2 BB, 2 K. Papelbon's ERA is up to 1.14!
  7. Wow, Salem has really stacked the lefties against Francisco today (4 + 2 switch hitters). Alfredo gives up a run on 2 hits in the top of the 4th and Boise is now tied at 4 in the middle of the 4th. Griebal Cuevas-Novas is starting for Mesa today and making his pro debut. Where's Chris Huseby? Drew Rundle got a double for Mesa in the first. Cuevas-Novas had a shutout first inning, giving up a hit and getting 2 Ks. 0-0 in the middle of the 2nd.
  8. Haha. Those hats look great. Thanks for the Gallagher upadates. Boise has come back in the bottom of the third to take the lead thanks to RBI singles by Tyler Colvin (1 for 2, strikeout in his first AB) and DJ Lewis. After 3, Boise leads it 4-3.
  9. What the heck? What do they look like? Peoria loses 11-2. :(
  10. After retiring the first 7 batters, Francisco gets into a big mess, giving up a BB, 3 hits and 3 runs. 3 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, BB, 2 K. Boise down 3-2 going to the bottom of the 3rd.
  11. Boise now up 2-0 after 2 thanks to a DJ Lewis solo HR (:D), a Steve Clevenger double and an Elvin Puello RBI single.
  12. He smashed the first one & Gary Cate's double would have been out if it had been 3 feet higher. I went to the MiLB gameday audio page and am listening to the Smokies broadcast because the link for Ron's broadcast is down. Sounds like they've had some really bad weather in the area; maybe that's the reason. Thanks. I was disappointed when I checked out Ron's broadcast link and it was down.
  13. Daytona loses 4-0. Derek Griffith went 8 shutout innings against the D-Cubs.
  14. Are you listening, Serena? If so, how? A 2-double game for Dope is great!
  15. Elbert + LaRoche for Aramis plz. Joel Guzman and LaRoche could be another possibility. If Aram opts out Guzman would/could supply power that would be missing. I'd prefer Elbert over Guzman by a wide margin. Of course, the Dodgers probably don't plan on trading Elbert and aren't too happy with Guzman. I'm nt too enamored with Joel, he hasn't shown the ability to improve his plate discipline. And I don't know that the Dodgers would be interested in parting with young talent after their recent slide.
  16. WT up 2-1 after 1.5, Brian Dopirak with a 2-RBI double in the bottom of the first inning. Gallagher gave up 2 more hits in the 2nd, but worked around a 2-in-scoring-position, 1 out jam. 2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, BB, 2 K. Layden gave up a run in the 8th. Daytona now down 4-0 midway through the 8th. Harvey is now 0/3 after his 4-HR game yesterday. Peoria still down 8-1, now after 5.
  17. Meh, no link up for the broadcast today at http://www.wnws.com/ I was hoping to hear Gallagher. :(
  18. I'm not at all surprised, especially considering all the Aramis rumors. Adenhart + McPherson for Aramis (that's overpaying on the Angels end, but oh well).
  19. West Tenn down 1-0 in the middle of the first. Gallagher: 1 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 Ks. Sean gave up a BB, got a K, gave up a steal, another single, then an RBI double before getting a groundout and another K. Peoria now getting blown out, 8-1 in the middle of the 3rd. Blackford went 2 innings, gave up 7 ER on 7 H, 2 HRs and 1 BB to go against 1 K. That is indeed it for today for Billy. His final line, again: 6 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, BB, 2 HBP, 3 K, 8 GO : 5 FO. Tim Layden comes in and gets a 1-2-3 top of the 7th. Daytona is down 3-0 at the 7th inning stretch.
  20. Petrick's 6th inning: Popped up to shallow RF. Harvey *nearly* collided with 2B Lane on that play. Line single to LF. Check swing strikeout (3-pitch). HBP on a 3-2 count. Popped out to very shallow LF. 6 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 2 HBP, BB, 3 K, 8 GO : 5 FO With Layden warming up in the pen, that should be it for Petrick. Daytona down 3-0 in the middle of the 6th...
  21. Petrick's 5th inning: Leadoff 4-pitch walk. 3-pitch strikeout swinging. Pickoff. The baserunner tried to steal before Petrick threw the pitch. Groundout, 4-3. (11-pitch inning.) 5 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, BB, HBP, 2 K, 8 GO : 3 FO. After 5, Daytona is down 3-0.
  22. Petrick's 4th inning: First-pitch groundout, off Petrick's glove to Baez, 1-6-3. Great throw by Baez. First-pitch groundout, 6-3. Great play by Baez. HBP. Flyout to RF. (7-pitch inning.) 4 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, HBP, K, 7 GO : 3 FO Daytona down 3-0 after 4.
  23. Petrick's third: Ground single to RF. Pop out. Pop out to shallow CF. Flyball to LF, in and out of the LFer's glove for a single.. Run scores. Ground single to CF. Triple to CF. 2 runs score. Groundout, 4-3. 3 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, K, 5 GO : 2 FO Daytona down 3-0 midway through 3. :(
  24. Petrick's 2nd: Groundout, 4-3. Leadoff bunt single (on a close play at first). Bloop single to CF, leadoff runner to second. Grounder to third, bobbled by Spearman. E-5, bases are loaded. 6-4-3 DP! :D Announcer talking about how there's a lot of excitement about Petrick returning. 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, K, 4 GO: 0 FO 0-0 in the middle of the 2nd.
