  1. Bam. Robert Hernandez got the start for Mesa today. Mesa up 4-0 after 1, thanks in part to a 2-RBI double by Rundle.
  2. Wilton Chavez gives up 2 in the 6th and Iowa's lead is trimmed to 9-7. Power delay in the West Tenn game. West Tenn is down 1-0 in the 6th. Daytona loses 7-4. Boise up 1-0 after 1.
  3. West Tenn is now losing 1-0 in the bottom of the 6th. The Jaxx have been no-hit so far. Castellanos: 6 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 6 BB, 5 K. Daytona now down 5-4 in the top of the 9th. Solid effort in relief for Grant Johnson: 2.1 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 1 K. Ryan Harvey is now 0 for 2 with a walk. Boise with an early 1-0 lead in the middle of the first on an RBI double for Russ Canzler.

Ryan Harvey is 0 for 1 with a walk. In the bottom of the 7th, Daytona is down 5-3.
  8. Len said Marshall is supposed to get one more rehab start, so I guess Ryu will actually go into the rotation. Or maybe Z can just start twice for every run through the rotation.

After the Restovich RBI IF single, the I-Cubs got a Casey McGehee RBI sac fly, a Geovany Soto RBI groundout and a Jesse Hoorelbeke 2-run HR. Daytona is still down 5-0 in the middle of the 6th and is being no-hit.

Dan DeMent flies out to RF. 1 IP, 2 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 0 K, 15 pitches (11 strikes) In the bottom of the first, Iowa has cut the deficit thanks to a double by Pie, a single by EPatt and an RBI single by Restovich. Iow down 2-1 in the bottom of the first and still batting.

I was in a similar situation, ended up missing most of the game because I was moving my things out of my apartment at UCLA back to my mom's home and I was stuck in Los Angeles traffic (I was going to do a quarter at UCSD). Thankfully, my mom had recorded the game because she sensed it would be a good one.

  18. Hey Ron, Ed Campusano hasn't pitched since that 20-inning game he left due to an injury. At the time, you had hypothesized that it was a back injury. Is that what it was? And will he be returning soon?
