  1. All I know is it makes my life easier. I don't need to calculate the combined stats for starting pitchers who've been through 2 or more levels in the minors in one season.
  2. Thanks, Serena. I read that last night and was disappointed that it seems like Grant Johnson will stay in the pen.
  3. Marshall is scheduled to pitch the same day in AAA, but the Cubs seem interested in keeping him down there.
  4. Yay, it was in my sig a second before you posted!
  5. I've been in e-mail contact with their announcer - let me PM you to get more details as I really haven't broached the subject yet.
  6. Do I get to take credit for the idea? O:) Looks like Gallagher and Veal are tied.
  7. Nice list. Definitely got to protect Jake Fox, Billy Petrick and Randy Wells. The Cubs will probably look to protect one of Shaver/Mathes and Harvey too.
  8. =; Fred is an innings eater.
  9. I doubt he'd be leaving for an Olympic team. This isn't an Olympic year, and baseball is no longer an Olympic sport anyway. Perhaps it's for some other tournament. Sorry, it was an Olympic trial team.
  10. And Sean has cut Donnie's lead to 2. Nice comeback.
  11. RHP Jose Ceda, acquired for Todd Walker, was promoted from Mesa to Boise and will start for the Hawks. Ceda's 52 strikeouts were good for 4th in the AZL, despite having at least 20 fewer innings than the three guys in front of him.
  12. Ugh, that's rough for Ed. I just read that Federico Baez left the Jaxx for an Olympic team, is that correct?
  13. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Randy Wells (4-4, 5.37 ERA; overall: 8-5, 2.99 ERA) vs. RHP Anastacio Martinez (5-9, 4.74 ERA) West Tenn: LHP JR Mathes (9-7, 3.36 ERA) vs. LHP Manny Parra (2-0, 3.15 ERA) Daytona (game 1): LHP Carlos Perez (4-7, 5.07 ERA) Daytona (game 2): No clue Peoria: RHP Mitch Atkins (12-3, 2.36 ERA) Boise: RHP Jose Ceda (Mesa: 0-0, 0.75 ERA; overall: 2-0, 3.60 ERA) @ Jermiah Haar (0-0, 1.93 ERA) Wells: 52 IP, 43/17, 1.60 WHIP Mathes: 139.1 IP, 101/26, 1.24 WHIP Perez: 103 IP, 80/53, 1.79 WHIP Atkins: 125.2 IP, 117/49, 1.17 WHIP Ceda (at Mesa & AZL Peoria): 35 IP, 52/20, 1.31 WHIP
  14. I agree. Atkins is having too good a season to have 0 votes.
  15. Boise won 15-1. :) Colvin went 2 for 6, Canzler went 4 for 6. Mesa was down 8-4, but they've tied it up. They're now in the 8th inning.
  16. Seriously. I can't wait till MiLB takes over all the minor league team's site. :(
  17. Wow, Muldowney has been great today: 5 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 7 K, 2 BB. Darrin Downs now in and struggling in the 6th with runners at first and second and none out. Boise leads it 8-0. Mesa down 6-4 after 5. Robert Hernandez struggled quite a bit: 3.1 IP, 6 R, 3 ER, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 K. Rundle is 1 for 2 and Andersen is 0 for 2.
  18. West Tenn gets shutout 4-0. Scott Moore and Jake Fox each go 1 for 4, Chris Walker goes 2 for 4.
  19. Iowa now up 12-7. Pie: 1/4, 2 Ks. EPatt: 3/5. Soto: 2/4, K. West Tenn underway after the power delay. Still down 1-0 in the 7th inning. Boise up 2-0 in the third. Muldowney: 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 4 K Mesa up 4-1 in the second. Hernandez: 2 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 K
