  5. Albuquerque beats Nashville 9-8. Iowa is still 3 back with 4 games remaining for both Nashville and Iowa. Boise shuts out Spokane 9-0 for the second straight game. Boise pitching now has a 21 inning scoreless streak.
  6. Not only did Timmons yell at Clark, he started walking up on him too as if to instigate. And the second Brewer was Jeff Cirillo.
  7. I'm surprised EPatt made it, I didn't think he had that great of a year at AA. But second base isn't exactly a position of major depth in the SL.
  8. What's wrong with Timmons? I can't stand umps who have to try to take things into their own hands.
  9. Tyler Colvin with a solo HR - his 9th of the year and the 4th straight game he's had a HR. Boise now up 9-0. Canzler: 2/5, 2 2Bs.
  10. NAU up on ASU 14-7.
  11. The problem is, who's truly more deserving? I'm all for playing the kids at this point, but I don't want kids that clearly not ready up here doing nothing but hurting their confidence. As long as Miller doesn't push out Z, Hill or Marshall I'm ok. Marmol needs to be in the minors to work on his control and Mateo and Guzman could use the work down there to. The problem with that is the minor league season is over in 4 games. Even if the minor league season wasn't coming to a finish, I'm not sure why these guys couldn't work in the big leagues.
  12. Ugh. :( ---- Peoria is up 5-4 as they bat in the bottom of the 8th. Boise up 8-0 in the middle of the 6th. Renshaw's final line: 6 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 5 K.
  13. At least Nashville is down 7-4 in the 6th. Keeping Iowa's slim playoff hopes alive.
  14. Iowa now losing 6-4. Jerome: 6.1 IP, 5 ER, 9 H, 4 BB, 2 K, 90 pitches (54 strikes). Peoria up 5-4 after 7. Boise up 8-0 in the middle of the 5th. Renshaw: 5 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 4 K.
  15. A lot of pitches, but that is a great way to end the season for Sean. I expect he'll be finishing next season at Wrigley.
  16. Root against the Sox if you want to. Personally, I hope they win when they're not playing the Cubs. The success of the White Sox puts more pressure on Cubs management to improve the team. It doesn't work too well when Cubs management doesn't know how to improve the team.
  17. Palm Beach won 5-3. They open up a 1-game lead on Daytona and have the percentage points advantage in the case of a tie. Each team has 4 games left.
  18. Iowa is tied at 4 after 7 innings. Pie is 1/3, EPatt is 0/4. West Tenn down 1-0 after 6. Gallagher finishing the year strong: 6 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 1 BB, 7 K. Peoria up 5-1 after 5. Blackford: 5 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 3 BB, 2 K. Boise opens up a 4-0 lead thanks to a 2-run HR from Matt Camp (his first pro HR). That's the score in the middle of the third inning. Renshaw: 3 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K.
  19. Agreed. Bicondoa leaves after a strong game...8.1 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 6 K. He leaves a man on who reached due to an error. With 2 outs in the top of the 9th, Layden allows Bicondoa's baserunner to score on an RBI single. Daytona now down 2-0 as we go to the bottom of the 9th. Worse, Palm Beach has tied their game at 3 after 6 innings.
  20. Jerome gives up 2 more in the 4th, Iowa now down 3-0. 4 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 2 K, 50 pitches (32 strikes)
  21. Banedon, can you give a lil PBP since Jon isn't around? Danke!
