    http://www.licey.com/articulo.asp?did=5304 The team Alfonso would play on is the Estrellas Orientales (EO on the schedule). Cubs' catching prospect Jose Reyes is on the team. Thanks a ton for that. The schedule on there only goes through Dec. 22nd though. I thought I had read somewhere that they play Oct-Jan. I take it the season ends in late December and that playoffs run through January? Any idea where the games are? Are they all at the stadium in Santo Domingo? Thanks. From past experience, I believe they play approximately 50 games and that's what the schedule shows through December, so I guess that the schedule linked is correct and is for the regular season. The playoffs are probably in January and the Caribbean World Series is in February. Estrellas Orientales play in San Pedro de Macorís. The two teams that play in Santo Domingo are the Tigres del Licey (Felix Pie's team) and Leones del Escogido.

    So I take it you didn't think much of Matt Leinart coming out of USC either, right? Leinart actually won a Heisman and won most of the big games he played in. Quinn can pad his stats against Army and Stanford, but he hasn't won a big game in his career I don't think. I agree Brady Quinn hasn't done too well in his big games the past two years, but jjgman21 was comparing Quinn to Ryan Leaf and saying Quinn would fail in the NFL because of these instances. That seems a bit unreasonable since so many college athletes (including Leinart) are guilty of the same thing.

    Leinart displayed more smirkiness, aloofness, cockiness, etc. than Quinn has. He really got into the Hollywood scene. But it didn't hurt his play on the field and he's looked good so far in the NFL too.

    Devon Hardin looking good for Cal. If he can replace two thirds of Leon Powe's production inside, Cal should be in competition with Oregon and USC for the fourth and final Pac 10 team in the tourney.

    Certainly was. This is why I like Basketball, the season doesn't end after one loss. So I can even find some level of enjoyment in losses. And to top it off, you can get so much experience from close games, even the losses. Really help you come tourney time.

    Heh, I rooted for USC against Notre Dame today. We gotta do what we gotta do, rooting for the lesser of two evils, etc.

    No way. Brady has a fantastic head on his shoulders. From all my cousin has said (she knows him, has had a few classes with him), I have to agree with ndistops.
