  1. I don't want anything to do with Zito for what he is going to get paid. I think Zito benefits a bit from all the foul territory at McAfee Coliseum. Put him in Wrigley and his ERA may hover close to 4. He's a flyball pitcher too, isn't he? Yes he is.
  2. Louisville up 34-10 in the third quarter against UConn. Georgia Tech and Wake Forest tied 3-3 with 1:16 left in the first half.
  3. It'd be really cool if Karl Dorrell's job was on the line, but seeing the way he's been acting, he obviously knows he'll return next season. :(
  4. Angel hasn't pitched since his debut, and he started that game. Sure, I can post his stats regularly. Here are his current stats: Angel Guzman (Navegantes): 4 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 1 K/0 BB, 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP, 4 GO-6 FO
  5. As of now, the Bulls are the 7 seed in the East.
  6. Certainly OU looks like a leading candidate. Oh, and: http://thewizardofodds.blogspot.com/2006/11/nice-buttkicking.html
  7. Jevan Snead is transferring from Texas.
  8. Tigres beat the Leones 8-0, box: C H. Blanco 0/3, K (19) SS R. Cedeño 2/4, 2 R, HR (2), 4 RBI (8), K (22) Caribes lost 6-1, box: CF C. Walker 0/4 Overall: Henry Blanco (Leones): 24/120, .200/.267/.283/.550, 1 HBP, 10 BB, 19 K, 2 HR, 1/2 SB Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 19/89, .213/.281/.303/.584, 1 HBP, 7 BB, 21 K, 2 HR, 0/2 SB, 2 E Chris Walker (Caribes): 27/124, .218/.319/.290/.609, 3 HBP, 16 BB, 26 K, 1 HR, 18/22 SB, 1 E
  9. I'll take a win in whatever shape and form it comes in after the team looked so bad early on. This team will improve.
  10. Orientales beat Licey 4-3: PH-C J. Reyes 0/1, K (5) CF F. Pie 0/1 - came in as defensive replacement in the bottom of the 7th inning Overall: Jose Reyes (Orientales): 11/47, .234/.250/.340/.590, 2 2B, 1 HR, 1 BB, 5 K Felix Pie (Licey): 25/109, .229/.270/.294/.564, 1 HBP, 5 BB, 20 K, 1 HR, 4 2B, 5/5 SB
  11. It hasn't. I miss when one of the teams I root for is dominating.
  12. I doubt it. EDIT: The real weather man beat me to it.
  13. I like Jones for Jennings. I don't like Lugo in CF. I like Lugo at SS.
  14. Hagerty was healthy his first season with the Cubs (2002 - at Boise: 48 IP, 1.13 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 50 K/15 BB). He hurt himself during spring training the next season and had to have TJS. Obviously never been the same. I certainly haven't lost hope with Petrick, this coming season will be huge for him.
  15. The bird incident was in 2003. He pitched only 30 innings (11 of which were on rehab in Mesa and Boise) in 2004, primarily due to elbow soreness and a back injury. As raw said, he still hasn't gotten his velocity back from those injuries.
  16. Do you know what that team is?
  17. Culiacan lost 7-1, box: 3B C. McGehee 1/3, R, BB (18), 2 K (17) Gusave won 9-2, box: 3B I. Salas 2/3, R, RBI (9), BB (5) Overall: Casey McGehee (Culiacan): 50/159, .314/.384/.453/.837, 5 HR, 7 2B, 18 BB, 17 K, 1/2 SB, 9 E Issmael Salas (Gusave): 18/60, .300/.354/.350/.704, 1 HR, 1 2B, 5 BB, 8 K, 1/2 SB
  18. We may or may not be at 95 mil, depending on whether you think the New York Times is a reliable source. Bruce Miles carried the same Soriano contract details in his piece today, and he cited the AP as his source. There is no mention of how Soriano's bonus is spread however, so it could be 17 million in 2007, or 10 million with a million per year over 7 more years thereafter. After this new information, let me amend my previous statement: We may or may not be at 95 mil, depending on whether you think the New York Times, Bruce Miles, and the AP are reliable sources. CT?
  19. And they even had a timeout to figure out what to do!
  20. Leones win 7-3, box: C H. Blanco 0/2, 2 BB (10), K (18), CS (1) Tigres win 1-0, box: SS R. Cedeño 1/3 Overall: Henry Blanco (Leones): 24/117, .205/.273/.291/.564, 1 HBP, 10 BB, 18 K, 2 HR, 1/2 SB Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 18/85, .212/.280/.259/.539, 1 HBP, 7 BB, 21 K, 1 HR, 0/3 SB, 1 E
  21. Man, Baltimore's offense has looked bad. And their defense unimpressive.
  22. That looked like a painful injury.
  23. Gumbel's voice is soo annoying.
