  1. Hey give credit where it's due to Pac-10 refs, we're good at jobbing Big-12 teams too (Oklahoma).
  2. "And that one is picked off CLEANLY." Works out better for LSU.
  3. Bet it was a Pac-10 guy then.
  4. Bullcrap. Screw ND.
  5. It is if you stop doing what got you the lead. Nice catch by McKnight. And then a huge pick for LSU.
  6. LDT's Godlieness will outshine Shottenheimers ability to screw things up. After watching Tomlinson the second half of the season, I have come to the conclusion he is impossible to defend against. You stop the run, he catches the ball. You stop him from catching, he runs it. You stop both, he throws it. Chargers will win the super bowl by a score of 37474830-14. The problem is also that Philip Rivers has suddenly started struggling big time.
  7. The running game is getting them huge chunks but LSU seemingly abandons it for some of JMR's stupid antics all the time. They should pick on the secondary more if they're throwing, enough with the screens. ETA: Good to see soccer10k and I on the same wavelength.
  8. Ouch, that kicker sucks. Samardzija should just stick to baseball. :)
  9. Geez, what great ball security, JMR.
  10. I hate the word former (apologies to Wayne). :( Is he really there?
  11. Why are you rooting for Notre Dame? Money reasons. I don't really mind ND either. ND and Green Bay? You're dead to me. JMR is so turning pro after this game.
  12. Officially? I hadn't heard one way or another (not that I don't doubt both will end up there eventually).
  13. Good job, LSU. Keep it up.
  14. Well, Gallagher has a good chance to start the season at Iowa, so he's got to be the most likely. Chris Shaver spent all but the first week of last season at West Tenn, so he should be ready for AAA too. I think Veal could use quite some time at Tennessee this season, there are a few concerns he need to address.
  15. Exactly why I don't think the Chargers will make it all the way. If I'm not being a homer, I'll go with the Patriots; if I am, the Bears for sure.
  16. Watch, Cotts will be the World Series MVP in 2008.
  17. He wasn't injured. Chris Shaver had offseason surgery to remove elbow chips. So they just shut him down? Was he as dominate last year as he was in rookie ball? :?: He pitched in short-season Boise, he pitched their full season (three months long). He struggled with his control, was demoted to the pen, fixed his mechanics and came out and pitched great the last 2 months, including 6 shutout innings in his playoff start. Here are his 05 and 06 stats: link. I'm guessing set up or closer at Iowa.
  18. He wasn't injured. Chris Shaver had offseason surgery to remove elbow chips.
  19. I'd be in favor of that as well, I personally would prefer to see Marmol get as many innings as possible since pitching is so much newer to him compared to other prospects. I'm sure with call-ups and whatnot, Randy Wells would get back to starting. It just seems more probable that the Cubs will get Carlos experience closing.
  20. Gah, what the hell? The UCLA-Oregon State game won't be on TV anywhere...not here, not in Corvallis. Lame.
  21. How many Bears fans hold out hope for a Super Bowl? It seems like most are predicting a 1-and-done or a loss to the Saints/Eagles.
  22. Leones lost 4-3 in 14 innings, box: C H. Blanco 2/6, 2B (9), 2 K (27) Tigres win 12-2, box: SS R.
