  1. UCLA down 40-30 at the half. They got it down to 4 numerous times and then Oregon finished the half fantastically. Awful game.
  2. Sigh, UCLA down 20-12 to Oregon, Oregon has yet to miss a freaking shot.
  3. Culiacan won 13-1, box: 3B C. McGehee 1/3, R, 2B (2), BB (3), K (1), E (2, fielding) Playoffs: 3/9, .333/.500/.555/1.055, 2 2B, 1 K, 3 BB, 2 E Regular Season: 74/247, .300/.365/.425/.790, 7 HR, 10 2B, 27 BB, 33 K, 1/3 SB, 11 E
  4. Aaron Fit chat at BA Lots of schools that NSBB posters like are represented in the chat (South Carolina, ASU, Tulane, Penn State, Florida, Georgia Tech, College of Charleston come to mind). Also some talk of 07 and 08 draft prospects (Brackman, Pedro Alvarez, Smoak). The best sentence of the chat is this:
  5. Yeah, because blowing an 18-0 start is totally the fault of the officials. I'm sure Hinrich's layup and the goaltending were part of the 18-0 start. Oh, wait.
  6. You knew that exact sequence would happen? I knew he was going to miss at least one of the three FT's. Not the sequence though. ETA: After all, his name is Aaron Brooks. Too bad Ryan Appleby wasn't around so Brooks could punch him again.
  7. I have read and heard exactly the same about Grant's slider - it hasn't been the same since the surgery.
  8. Actually if the Buckeyes lose, then we'll have had the immensely enjoyable trifecta of Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State losses in BCS bowl games. seconded. If only Miami and F$U had lost as well... Sorry. :(
  9. Can't wait for January 20th at Pauley vs the Wildcats: "We're the standard. I don't think they are the standard," Arizona sophomore Marcus Williams said of the Bruins.
  10. I'll be shocked if USC isn't playing in the national championship game next year. Sadly.
  11. Larry Coker at Miami? (T_T talking about just getting to the national championship.)
  12. Bring it, Jackson State/SWAC fans. :) ETA: 1-seed - UCLA 2-seed - Arizona 5-seed - Oregon 7-seed - Washington 12-seed - Washington State Last 4 out - USC I think at the end of the year, all 6 will be in.
  13. Saturday: Kansas City at Indianapolis, 3:30 pm CT, NBC Dallas at Seattle, 7 pm CT, NBC Sunday: New York Jets at New England, 12 pm CT, CBS New York Giants at Philadelphia, 3:30 pm CT, FOX
  14. Arizona beat U-Dub in Seattle 96-87. UCLA beat Oregon State in Corvallis 71-56 to go to 14-0. Coulda been a battle of undefeateds when UCLA plays Oregon on Saturday, but USC beat the Ducks today in Eugene.
  15. Leones lose 16-4, box: C H. Blanco 1/3 Overall: Henry Blanco (Leones): 40/190, .211/.271/.305/.576, 1 HBP, 17 BB, 27 K, 3 HR, 9 2B, 2/3 SB, 3 E ------- Angel Guzmán (Navegantes): 22.2 IP, 8 R, 6 ER, 18 H, 21 K/4 BB, 2 HR, 2.38 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 22 GO-22 FO
  16. And let's not pretend like Quinn's tools are adequate for the top tier of QBs in the NFL. I'd take Brady too.
  17. Geovany Soto (Arecibo): 13/73, .178/.228/.274/.502, 5 BB, 19 K, 7 2B - hasn't played in over a week Federico Báez (Manati): 21.2 IP (13 G, 1 GS), 12 R, 11 ER, 21 H, 9 K/10 BB, 1 HR, 4.57 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, .244 BAA, 3 S
  18. Jeff was given a $250,000 bonus (split over 5 years) and has the potential to earn $7 million more over the next 5 years in a heavily back-loaded deal (so the longer he plays baseball, the more likely he is to earn the big bucks - it's only guaranteed if he sticks to baseball each year). I gotta say, Samardzija doesn't have the seperation or speed to be too successful in the NFL (it'd help if he was a good route runner).
  19. BA's Top 50 Preview (PDF): Rice is #1. UCLA is #13. :)
  20. I have no hope for Luke or Chadd.
  21. If Ohio state beats Florida I would say Lsu would get the #2 ranking. If Florida pulls out the upset I would think Osu would be ranked #2 but who knows. I would agree with that. I guess I'm assuming OSU will beat Florida. USC will likely be preseason #1 Well, they're talking about the final poll for this season.
  22. Culiacan loses 8-5, box: 3B C. McGehee 2/3, R, 2B (1), BB (2), E (1, fielding) Playoffs: 2/6, .333/.500/.500/1.000, 1 2B, 0 K, 2 BB, 1 E Regular Season: 74/247, .300/.365/.425/.790, 7 HR, 10 2B, 27 BB, 33 K, 1/3 SB, 11 E
  23. Tigres win 4-2, box: SS R. Cedeño 0/3, K (31) Overall: Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 33/146, .226/.293/.336/.629, 1 HBP, 15 BB, 31 K, 3 HR, 7 2B, 0/5 SB, 4 E ------- Angel Guzmán (Navegantes): 22.2 IP, 8 R, 6 ER, 18 H, 21 K/4 BB, 2 HR, 2.38 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 22 GO-22 FO
  24. LDT's Godlieness will outshine Shottenheimers ability to screw things up. After watching Tomlinson the second half of the season, I have come to the conclusion he is impossible to defend against. You stop the run, he catches the ball. You stop him from catching, he runs it. You stop both, he throws it. Chargers will win the super bowl by a score of 37474830-14. The problem is also that Philip Rivers has suddenly started struggling big time. Yes, thats upsetting to say the least. My idea: Start LDT as QB. The chargers backup RB (whose name is slipping my mind right now) is very good (averaging more than 6 yards per carry earlier in the year), so put him in as the starting RB. That would be a godteam. Heh, the San Diego Razorbacks? And you're referring to Michael Turner.
