  8. I don't think Oden will turn pro, but Durant is a nice fall back option.

  11. I know a few of you have hoped for Landry dropping to the Bears, but I just don't see it happening (same for Florida's Reggie Nelson).
  12. As annoying as it may be, there's a reason. The goodoleboys routinely field the best football teams, with the exception of ND. If you want the system to change, you have to do more than just complain. Cuse, You and I had a conversation much earlier in the year and you suggested that the SEC's true ability would be "exposed" during the bowl season. I truly wasn't going to open my mouth after the bowl season, but your hatred of the SEC continues to affect your ability to evaluate in my opinion. The SEC was 6-3 in bowl games, and they legitimately could have been 9-0. Alabama lost to Oklahoma State on a last minute field goal. Kentucky beat Clemson 28-20. South Carolina beat Houston 44-36. Georgia beat Virginia Tech 31-24 Tennessee lost to Penn state, but the game was tied 10-10 with less than 10 minutes left. The Vols had possession, were driving down the field, fumbled the ball into hands of a Penn State player whom returned the fumble for a touchdown. Auburn beat Nebraska 17-14 Arkansas lost to Wisconsin 14-17. Arkansas outgained the Badgers 367-203 but found a way to lose that game. LSU beat Notre Dame 41-14 Florida beat Ohio State 41-14. The SEC certainly was down for a few years, but I don't believe this year can be included in that statement. And Houston, Nebraska, Clemson and VTech could have won those games too making them 2-7. I said the SEC was solid. It's just not the end all of college football. I really wish the Big East could have played some SEC or Big 10 teams in the bowls to truely see but once again in college football we will never know and have to debate it. Do you remember when a 12-0 Auburn was left out of the BCS Championship game and how it felt to be left out? Well, that's how I felt about Louisville. Louisville shouldn't have lost then. That's the nature of the system, if a team loses, they no longer control their destiny (sans Boise State).
  13. Shame on the two of you who voted for Stephen A. Smith.
  14. I guess it's being in LA, but Plaschke.
  15. I never thought Ben Howland looked like Jason Alexander till today, and now I'll think of it everytime I see him. Damn you all!
  16. He had very good numbers, but apparently needed to show a little more love. What do you mean? Just because he chased a heckling fan in the stands, destroyed a bathroom, hit a fan and a photographer with balls thrown into the stands, charged the mound numerous times, verbally destroyed NBC reporter Hannah Storm, chased egg-throwing teenagers in his car on Halloween, basically murdered Fernando Vina, and stalked his ex-girlfriend doesn't mean anything. :-D Don't forget that he corked his bat and it was somehow stolen from the umps and then returned. And I won't have anyone knocking Jay Buhner. Back around 1995, I thought he was so cool.
  17. Not to change the subject from talentless midgets, but why is Jason Alexander in your avatar? :D Grrr...
  18. Meh, Josh Shipp has a slight tear in his hamstring and is out for the USC game on Saturday morning. Looks like Mike Roll will start and Ben Howland wouldn't say if Shipp would be out any longer. :|
  19. It's been pretty obvious for a while now that the Cubs aren't that enamored with Fontenot.
  20. His explanation is that Rex is more concerned about the where the next party is than what the next job is. Dear God please tell me that he didn't really say that. Please. He most certainly did.
  21. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite posters (don't stop talking about Florida basketball).
  22. The funny thing is that Miami just got burned by a "college coach"...why would they go after another one? After a couple of losing season some college school would come after Carroll and he'd probably go right back to it...not sure why you'd want to travel that road again if you're Miami. The difference being that Carroll is a former NFL coach and assistant while Saban wasn't (to my knowledge) Nick Saban used to be an assistant coach with the Browns and Oilers.
  23. Tigres lost 4-3, box: SS R. Cedeño 1/4, 2B (8), K (34) Overall: Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 36/157, .229/.298/.369/.667, 1 HBP, 17 BB, 34 K, 4 HR, 1 3B, 8 2B, 0/6 SB, 4 E
  24. I could see that with Florida and LSU, but I can't follow you there with Arkansas or Auburn. I think Arkansas and Auburn (especially Auburn) could beat USC or OSU. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/scoreboard?confId=null&weekNumber=1&seasonYear=2006 hater You guys are the one making me defend USC! USC!!!
