    Those are shockingly appropriate. Hopefully they don't turn out true of course. So if the Bears win, Rex is awesome and Peyton collapses in disaster and chaos, the stars explode? Man...talk about choices...I need to think about it. You need to think about it? What a bandwagoner.

    Sorry to reply to something all the way from page one... Why did they even have to add Shark to the 40-man? That seems short-sighted as now he has only 3 option years left. Had he not been added to the 40-man, he'd have some time for that to happen. Vance, Samardzija has 4 option years. As NCCF said on page one, since Jeff signed a major league contract, he has to be put on the 40-man roster.

    I think ASU is better than OSU, mainly because they have a player that would probably start on every other Pac-10 team (except Washington and Stanford) in Jeff Pendergraph. It can get pretty easy to shut down one player when he's the only good guy on the team - especially if he's a low-post player.

    I didn't know about the rumors about the improved slider. That'd be huge, more important than his velocity coming back. Of course, BA generally asks the Cubs for their opinions on prospects (and takes it into account), so when Grant doesn't crack the Cubs' top 30, it makes you wonder about the rumors from instructs.

    82-35 is the final. :shock: No starter played the final 12 minutes, it was walk-ons and the last big men on the bench for the final 4 minutes. All the walk-ons scored except Matt Lee, I believe. Up next, USC (1 game back in the Pac-10) at Pauley on Wednesday.

    Got started on Friday, as some of you might know from the thread in General Baseball. Puerto Rico beat Mexico 11-1, box (no Cubs involved). The Dominican Republic scored 2 in the 18th inning to beat Venezuela 4-3, box: SS R. Cedeño 3/7, 2B (1), 2 RBI (2), BB (1), K (1), SB (1), E (1, throw) You can follow the games on Gameday through MiLB.com.
