  1. Nick Young of USC hits a huge jumper to tie the game with 10 seconds. Stanford gets a shot blocked and we head to overtime...
  2. Dempster Wood Howry Eyre Ohman Cotts Is Lou really going to go with a 12th pitcher like Cherry?
  3. Not even UNC? ---- Stanford up 42-31 on USC at the half. Misery loves company, USC better lose today - Arizona already lost!
  4. Isn't a hit batsmen an unearned run, just like a walk? I assumed the same applies to someone who is K'd and gets to 1st base on a wild pitch/passed ball. None of those would lead to unearned runs. Only errors would.
  5. Well, good to hear. I'd much prefer being a 2-seed in Sarcamento than a 1-seed out East. We're limping in ourselves...
  6. They should still get a #1 in the West. If the committee punishes them for this loss then that tells me these three days mean more than the past four months. The key I think is what happens with the other 1's and 2's. if 1 or 2 of the 2's win the conference tournaments and all of them advance to at least the semis or finals, then I could definitely see UCLA getting pushed to a 2-it's not like they had a much, much better resume than the other teams before this. It was better, but it's able to be made up. I could be wrong, but I think UCLA, Kansas and Ohio State have the number 1's wrapped up no matter what happens this weekend. I could be wrong but it was my thought going into the weekend. What happens if UNC and Florida win their tourneys? Or TAMU?
  7. Don't bother, guys. We are in an offensive slump royale and are an awful FT shooting team. The team looks listless out there and the defense continues to be horrible in the first half of games. About the only thing going right now is that Shipp and Mbah a Moute have righted their slumps (in time for Afflalo and Collison to start slumping). And (even though the Washington game meant nothing) the team has lost two in a row, they are limping into the tourney right now, I expect us to get a 2-seed now. I'd rather have the 2-seed and stay out west, hopefully that will happen. And dalgreen, I expect the winner of the Washington-Washington State game to win the conference tournament.
  8. Sigh. :( Let's say bye to tourney games in Cali. Probably lost the 1-seed too. Going in to the tourney on a 2-game losing streak.
  9. We deserve a 2-seed.
  10. Afflalo finally gets a shot to go in.
  11. Meh, UCLA and Cal going to OT tied at 61. UCLA is 13/24 at the FT line. Ubaka was huge for Cal down the stretch, tying the game twice. Afflalo still has no FGs.
  12. Ugh, Aboya fouls out and Afflalo has 4 fouls. Tie game with 4:28 to go.
  13. Great adjustments by Howland, they're just attacking the basket and playing much better defense. Of course, it helps when Collison and Afflalo score (0 points from the top 2 scores in the first half = not good). ETA: And UCLA takes their first lead since 8-6. :D

  17. Sigh, Afflalo starts the second half on the bench with his 3 fouls (of which he commited 1 ).
  18. BS. Ubaka pushes off on Afflalo twice and then they call the foul on Afflalo and he's now in foul trouble. UCLA down 37-25 at the half to Cal - 11 turnovers and foul trouble all over the place. Awful first half. We don't deserve a 1-seed.
  19. Jesus, get your head out of your ass, Collison.
  20. How many runs Wood gave up is actually the subject of a great debate-there have been at least 3 different answers argued for, and now it's still stuck at 2 different answers :D Techincally, he gave up 4 runs. The debate is over how many were unearned.
  21. UCLA looks awful, too many turnovers - trying to force stuff that isn't there. I've held my breath each time Aboya has fallen down, but so far, he's ok.

  23. Is the Pac-10 tourney only being shown on FSN West? I know CBS is showing the title game. Personally, I'd rather see the Pac-10 tourney than the Big East tourney. I've been seeing the Pac 10 tourney on my FSN channel, and I'm in the Southeast right now. Here in Big 12 country (I hate Big 12 country)we're watching the Big 12 Women's tourney. Ouch. UCLA game is on in about 15 mins, maybe that bumps the women? Next Pac-10 game we get here is 10:30 tonight. That's 2 WSU - 7 Washington.
