  1. A 7 or 8 seed? You guys got jobbed. TT, do you have that link to the online site for tourney games that you posted earlier?
  2. I could totally see that. I definitely don't think Wieters is #1.
  3. Yeah, I really like the deals the Patriots are signing. They are definitely improve their weaknesses.
  4. Curse his oldest brother. He was so good too. :(
  5. Why are so many schools struggling with FTs? What the hell?
  6. I liken them to Ohio State. They're not superpowers, but you're going to need a base level of ability to begin with to handle all the matchups/athletic ability. I don't think an Albany is knocking them off, it's going to take a Memphis or a Georgetown. Oh no doubt. But they rely too much on their athletic ability to beat the 1-3 seeds that are somewhat well-coached.
  7. Does Colvin have a shot at making the team if we go with 11 pitchers? Or who would be the 25th man behind Floyd, Ward, Theriot, Pagan, and Blanco? No, he needs to go and work on his game instead of sitting around on the bench. The Cubs have bigger plans for him... Colvin will probably be sent out early to join his minor-league team (probably Peoria). He's looked good here. As is the case with many No. 1 picks, he got the ST invite as part of his deal. Baseball people I've talked to really like him. I'm about 1.5 hours late here, but I was wondering if you had seen Colvin? He was really thin last season and supposedly bulked up during the offseason and yet he looked thin in the pics and video footage I've seen so far. Any thoughts? He's added some weight, but he doesn't look "bulky" at all. Thanks, he definitely needs to add more muscle, imo.
  8. AWFUL possession for Texas. Augustine would have gotten a better shot than that Durant turnaround fadeaway. ETA: Texas seems beatable. They definitely use Durant way too much.
  9. Yes, that's a great idea. They need a 3 to tie, so let's play zone. I'd give it to Augustine and let him create. Not Durant.

  11. Go Buckeyes! C'mon Texas! (Though I don't see how Wisconsin has a chance at a 1-seed and KU can fall from their 1-seed.)
  12. Borbon's injury may make him slip into the 2nd or even 3rd round. Both he and Arencibia have been injured, causing Tennessee to struggle badly, and likely causing a drop for all 3 of UT's 1st round hopefuls (Adkins, Borbon, and Arencibia) Adkins has been great so far this season plus he's a lefty, I don't see why he'd drop.
  13. BA had Payne at #36 in their top 100 college prospects. would that put him in 2nd round range for the cubs? Past the sandwich pick for sure, since it seems like the HS class is stronger.
  14. Considering he made this statement before the game, it could be that Guzman has clearly become the leader in Lou's mind. Piniella could very well be ready to make a definitive decison on the final spots by March 20th. He also said that Guzman will be getting a start in his next appearance. It's apparent he hasn't made a set deadline, he just feels like he'll have a good idea by the 20th (as we all will).
  15. COME ON, North Carolina State. I gotta think raw is right, as much as I hope bukie is right. I'd rather play in Sacramento/San Jose than anything else, so if it takes a 2-seed to get there, then it does. As long as UCLA doesn't run into Kansas, Georgetown or Florida (and maybe Texas) before the Final 4, I'm confident they'll get there.
  16. BA had Payne at #36 in their top 100 college prospects.
  17. Alex Gordon: FR: 69/216, .319/.426/495/.921, 7 HR, 29 BB, 34 K SOPH: 77/211, .365/.493/.754/1.247, 18 HR, 47 BB, 34 K JR: 94/253, .372/.518/.715/1.233, 19 HR, 63 BB, 38 K
  18. It's a passing comment, I doubt they know anymore than most of us (I'm sure Mr. Gallagher knows more :)). At this point, I'd be surprised if Sean doesn't start the season at AAA.
  19. Tons of pitchers lose velocity. Is there something I'm not getting here, or is Prior delusional. Looking at the rest of his quotes, it seemed like Mark was blaming mechanics for losing about 3 mph from his camp outings over the past few weeks.
  20. Two statistically bad outings, dropped velocity from his hey day, bad command and a spotty curve. But he improved from his previous outing today - definitely showing a reason to be hopeful.
  21. Grr, everyone on ESPN seems to think UCLA has lost their 1-seed. I hope bukie and co are right!!
  22. Where have I seen that point about Angel being ahead of the other pitcher because of his VWL stint before? :)
  23. You also hate Illinois. Not really (it's definitely way more Pac-10 homerism). And I think both should be in.
  24. They didn't have Brooks Lopez against Air Force and didn't have Anthony Goods for 6.5 of those 10 final games of the season.
