    Not wanting to speak for Bukie but it seems like he's valuing any big play from a series deeper in the playoffs more than those from previous series. (But I have to agree with you.)

    As long as he's the top prospect remaining on the board with no major injury red flags, I have no problem with drafting pitchers once you're this low in the draft. While the risk in pitchers is still there, the hitters are no longer anywhere close to the sure things they were higher in the draft.

    He's got a horsefeathers roster filled with holes. Sitting pretty is an interesting way to put it. It's easy to maintain flexibility when you're constantly in need of everything. Maybe he meant sitting pretty trying to tank for the top QB in the 2018 draft.

    Man, Arizona has a perfect path to the Final 4 out West. Can't wait to see how Sean Miller blows this one. Alford is top out at the Sweet 16 even with Lonzo and Leaf. And then he'll bounce for Indiana.

    You didn't mention OLB, which as of now we need to keep Houston for depth, where most thought he would be cut. At the very least we need to be resigning Acho, but I would think its a position to watch. I'm thinking about Solomon Thomas at 3. I know a lot of people are thinking if him as a Justin Smith DE if he adds 10 pounds, but I think he could stay where he is now and move around as a UTIL type front 7 guy. No idea where to estimate our cap depth until we know Cooper's and Wheaton's deals. Keep in mind though, our draft pool is pretty large at 10M, and we're not going to spend right up to the cap limit. Royal is probably a goner at this point at $5M, but that probably just gets us the buffer space, all else being equal. Greg Gabriel said on Twitter the Bears will cut Royal and the only question is timing because of his surgery.

    Been to two Cubs playoff games in LA - Game 5 of the 2016 NLCS and the far less enjoyable Game 3 of the 2008 NLDS. Non-Cubs but I went to Game 2 of the 2002 World Series in Anaheim, which was a very entertaining 11-10 Angels win. Memorable regular season games: The Bryant 2 HR game in LA this past August. Saw Sosa hit 2 HRs in 2003 in LA when Prior threw a CG in his second start off the DL after the Marcus Giles collision. This 9-6 Cubs win in Arizona in 2015 was memorable, partly because my wife double barrel flicked off Arizona fans who were talking horsefeathers most of the game as they left early when Rizzo hit the go-ahead HR in the 9th. I also went to the last 2 Cubs season openers (Wrigley and Anaheim). Man, Wrigley looked weird without the bleachers to start the 2015 season. And the stupid bathrooms.

    I'd love to trade down a bit and get someone from a group of Solomon Thomas, one of the safeties or Lattimore. Seems like they're all a bit below the third pick in terms of value.

    That's a pretty serious injury... you want that at 36? That's basically going to be a red shirt for him, right? No way I'd use a 2nd round pick on a db with a torn Achilles I'd consider him in the third round (again, I like him more than mock drafts seem to), especially if this type of timeline is realistic: [tweet] [/tweet]

    Ugh. He's my favorite cornerback prospect in the draft, even more than the ones mocked in the top ten. I love those U-Dub corners (Trufant & Peters from the past and also Kevin King in this year's draft).

    Martellus Bennett signed with the Packers for 3 years/$21 million (all guaranteed). Riley Reiff to the Vikings for 5/$58.75 million with $26.3 guaranteed.
