  1. My dad was never around so I guess I'll just take notes from you.
  2. Can't go to a bar? I have a 13-day old. I think my wife would kill me, especially since she's as big a Cubs fan and probably has more cabin fever than me.
  3. Yeah, it's three straight posts but my sig invokes awesome memories so deal with it. Where can I get a good feed since I live in LA and can't watch Dodger games?
  4. someone's gettin' a little cocky that their offense started hitting better than a group of homeless guys against LHP Against the 2nd easiest SOS in MLB (stolen from you).
  5. I also don't think Schwarber should go to the minors. If this were the playoffs, I imagine the Cubs would move Bryzzo up to 2-3. As you said, there's time for experimentation still.
  6. The true visionaries are able to get 200 PAs of sub-.300 OBP from a guy in the lead-off spot, while wasting the same guy's .400 OBP over his next 200 PAs in the 8-spot. Remember when Dexter struggled in the first half of 2015 but Maddon didn't relegate him to the bottom of the lineup? The Cubs were rewarded when Fowler hit much better in the second half of 2015 and in 2016.
  7. horsefeathers 'em up, Cubs. [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. I'd rather trade Happ than Eloy any day of the week.
  9. I think they'll take Allen no matter what if he's there at 27, and then it's BPA at 30. If that happens to be a HSer who has fallen, a la Carlson in this situation, so be it. Also BA has Romero going 24 to Boston and Schmidt 25 to Washington.
  10. Man, local radio in Southern California plays the horsefeathers out of RHCP. So horrible. (Same for Linkin Park, Blink-182 and Sublime. You'd never know there are good bands from here.)
  11. Callis mock: http://m.mlb.com/news/article/232496282/jim-callis-mock-projection-2017-mlb-draft/?topicid=151437456 Hiura goes 24 to Boston.
  12. Erling Moreno down in extended spring training today:
  13. [tweet] [/tweet] Zagunis also left the game earlier. He fouled one off his foot and was in considerable pain, stayed in the game and even got on base but left after that half inning.

  22. Eh ... 22 innings of work, albeit excellent work ... if they decide to move him up, great, but I'm perfectly fine leaving Torrez at AA. Was he one of the guys we got from the DBacks for Tony whatshisface? No. Those were Erick Leal and Jesus Castillo (who was then traded to the Angels for Joe Smith).
