I'm really disappointed the umpire didn't take the tongue lashing he deserved for making a huge mistake in a pivotal game this season. And compounding it with the embarrassing ejection of Contreras.
  2. CaliforniaRaisin
Stupid send and technically Molina didn't tag Rizzo initially.

    Kris!

The Cubs weren't linked to any of these 10 IFAs to watch for next year: http://www.baseballamerica.com/international/10-international-prospects-to-watch-for-2018/?amphtml=1 There are a few 2017 guys who haven't signed yet who might still be on the market in 2018.

    And I had Aaron Judge.

I know it was Mets pitching but I thinks Almora might have earned some starts against RHP.
  7. CaliforniaRaisin
Montgomery is going to end up getting 5 innings today.

I'm probably one of his biggest fans on this board and think him starting is inexcusable. Taylor Davis being on the 40-man is even worse.
  9. CaliforniaRaisin
Really wish Happ could've caught the ball on the SB. And Taylor Davis could catch an easy throw.
  10. CaliforniaRaisin
He can't finish these guys off when he gets to 2 strikes. Probably learned from watching Lester yesterday. EDIT: There we go.
  11. CaliforniaRaisin
Pierce Johnson has no business on there too.
  12. CaliforniaRaisin
Should say for the Cubs. Godley was drafted in '13 Sorry, that's what I meant. Paul Blackburn has also made quite a few starts for Oakland this year too.
  13. CaliforniaRaisin
    Frank Thomas was the horsefeathers.
  14. CaliforniaRaisin
Apparently William just had a big breakout season a la Willson in 2015: [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  15. CaliforniaRaisin
    Zas the other one? Yep.

Tseng is making the second ever start by a pitcher who was drafted or signed as an amateur by this Cubs regime.
  18. CaliforniaRaisin
Yup, both deserving. This is Tseng's second one, right? Yep. His last one was in 2014.
  19. CaliforniaRaisin
He clearly didn't look like a big time prospect yet at 16. I mean, Starlin Castro only got $45k. In fact, the Royals nearly signed Acuña for less: [tweet] [/tweet]
  20. CaliforniaRaisin
Well, that was one of the two reasons for the move according to the beat writers. The other was Montgomery's innings.
  21. CaliforniaRaisin
Meant to respond earlier but I really believe Glasnow's future is in the bullpen. I think he could be Bettances-like.
  22. CaliforniaRaisin
What a weird thing to say after his game yesterday.
  23. CaliforniaRaisin
‪The Cubs really don't know how to score unless they hit a home run.
  24. CaliforniaRaisin
Hey, NBD, let's have a rookie with middling stuff make his big league debut when the team might be nursing a 1 game lead during a September playoff push.
  25. CaliforniaRaisin
No surprise here - Jen-Ho Tseng was named Minor League Pitcher of the Year and Victor Caratini was named Minor League Player of the Year.
