Is this confirmed? I know there was an article last week talking about Yu only using 2-3 of his pitches. Just read it. It’s Athletic so subscriber so I’ll just post this bit: Some of the justification for using the FB/slider so much is that Yu has multiple variants to his slider.

In theory, if he’s only throwing a couple of different pitches, it’s easier to guess right and foul off.
