    Congrats, Jaxx! Peoria up 3-2 now in the 7th inning. Sam Fuld just got his 3rd hit (a double) of the game, to ensure a season BA of .3002. Bo Flowers is up with the bases loaded (after an IBB to Ryan Harvey).

    Geez, another hard hit ball, but right at Flowers at the warning track for the second out in the second. Gooz is being hit pretty hard. :?

    Guzman is on a 50-60 pitch-count again, just like on Tuesday. Sam Fuld won defensive player of the year before the game. Guzman gets a lineout to CF for 1 out.

    :shock: Guzman gave up 2 hits, got a caught stealing and a strike out (on an offspeed pitch) and now serves up a 2-run HR. :(

    I don't think Andrew is a fair comparison, since it didn't devastate as many people or hit as big a city. And we likely would be having this debate if an earthquake leveled LA or one of the big cities in Nor Cal, just based on the tremendous costs rebuilding would entail.

    You think his 4.47 ERA is worth $9 million? It's Hendry's fualt for giving him the contract, and allowing him to have a vesting option, which BTW is only 3.2 innings away now. I can't criticize Maddux for signing that contract, but I can and will criticize him whenever he grooves an 84 mph pitch for a 450-foot HR.

    Dang, I'd gladly trade Walker so Lastings Milledge could be in the OF in West Tenn.

    I'd be very happy if the Cubs don't sign (read: overpay) for the overrated Furcal. I'd rather see Cedeño start or Garciappara brought back on the cheap with Ronny as the backup.
