You should have told him your name is Nick.

If I were STL, I'd look into Howry and Giles (see if you can trade for Vernon Wells, Austin Kearns, etc.). I'd look for a medium-tier FA starting pitcher (Paul Byrd) just in case Anthony Reyes gets hurt again. And I'd trade Jason Marquis. EDIT: The Cards probably need a LOOGY with Ray King sucking and demanding a trade.

    Pujols.

It was from last winter, I've seen that pic around the Internet this year.

Astros in 6. I had the WS being Astros in 6 over Angels, just have to change the Angels to Sox - the end result will be the same.

I know Joel Guzman - the Dodgers top position prospect - is down there. He's playing 3B for the winter. AND I GET ESPN DEPORTEST AT WORK! But I work in the evenings. :(

Spiderman because everytime I read the thread title, I read "Bartman," not "Batman."

I wasn't going to either way. Anything that involves the White Sox is bad television. Even the Sox losing? That's the problem. They got hot at the absolute perfect time, so they're not going to. The Astros are hot now too... Plus you can't go wrong predicting a Wild Card team winning the Series. ;)

Astros in 6. Sox in 6. Think they'll win at least three games that one of Oswalt, Pettite or Clemens will start?
  14. CaliforniaRaisin
Congrats Jimy is a misspell and Mike Scott. Now go out there and obliterate the Sox, plz.

Doesn't it make you long for the days when every Transactions thread turned into a thread about Carlos Beltran? :P

Mr. Miles has often touted Atlanta bench coach Fredi Gonzalez as an excellent managerial candidate. Ned Yost has turned into a good manager in Milwaukee after spending time on Bobby Cox's staff; many analysts feel Terry Pendleton (Braves hitting instructor) has a rosy future as a manager, and he was going to be interviewed by the Dodgers until he pulled back yesterday for family reasons. I have no doubt Fredi could be a great one too - hanging out with Bobby Cox for several seasons must be an education and a half. If Baker and the Cubs don't agree to an extension during the Spring, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Gonzalez or Pendleton given an opportunity this time next year. I don't know enough about Terry as a coach, but Fredi would be awesome.
