    It woulda been nice for Dusty to start Hairston or Dubois when Hollandsworth was struggling. And Hairston when Dubois got the starting job and struggled. Holla just was one of Dusty's guys. No more walks, plz.

    Dubois for Gerut for Lawton for Berg. Hendry sure took the roundabout way of getting this guy. Perhaps this was the master plan all along. I believe Berg starts tomorrow in Peoria. No, he won't. Angel Guzman will start with Berg piggybacking in Beloit tomorrow. This will happen again on Sunday in Peoria.

    Some one could randomly post this before every Daytona game and they'd have a 33% chance of being right. Just 33%? The Cubs should move their high-A team to the California League instead. :D

    Right, but their stats are not too dissimilar. And Murton did it two levels higher, three levels higher, and in the bigs! Aren't they nearly the same age? Eric is 1.5 years younger (born in April, 1983, Matt was born in October, 1981). Yes, Eric isn't in an age-appropriate level, but he has done fantastic in his first full season. By getting promoted to AA by the end of his first full season, Eric is ahead of where Matt Murton was after his first full season (high A). I'd rate both Patterson and Sing's season as better than Murton's - this is a "player of the year" award, I'll only consider the playing level and age of the prospect only when the stats are very similar. I wouldn't say all their stats are that similar. Their BA and OBP are, but Eric has a large advantage in power (36-point slugging advantage). And don't forget the SBs.

    Yeah, I think Felix would be best at the 3 spot a few years down the road, if all goes right.

    He and Felix Pie are going to be in a real battle for who gets to leadoff when they, hopefully, make it to the Cubs. Hopefully they don't battle, because Felix Pie is no leadoff hitter right now. Nolasco with his second straight impressive outing: 7 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 8 K. David Aardsma now in. Yeah, I know Pie isn't a leadoff hitter right now, but it's hard to be any hitter at all when you're hurt. Fine, when he was healthy earlier this season, Felix did not display the pitch recognition or plate discipline to be a good leadoff hitter in the big leagues. His plate discipline at AA as of now is worse than Corey Patterson's was at AA. Aardsma has now surrendered 4 Rs here in the 4th to make it an 8-4 game. After Nolasco already pitched 7? Whoops, I meant the 8th inning. :oops: That 8th and 9th inning were pretty painful, yikes!

    I wonder if Veal is hitting the low-90s at Boise this season. According to T2E's draft report, he was inconsistent at Pima, throwing in the 80s some days and in the 90s other days. He definitely had a nice start yesterday. Carlos Quentin is awesome.

    You had me excited about him as a potential Cubs LOOGY last year, he's really fallen off. And now Aardsma has given up 5 baserunners after getting the first two outs. Haha, Eck is batting for himself. EDIT: Eck grounds out, 1-3 to end the 8th.

    Well, Sing has the walk record and Nolasco appears on his way to the breaking Brian McNichol's record of 12 DJaxx wins, so it would be nice to see Sing hit the record-breaking HR today too. UK's boy, Eck, is now in to pitch for Chatanooga. He has a robust 8+ ERA. :o

    Nolasco was drafted out of Rialto (CA) HS, Mitre from San Diego City College and Chadd Blasko was drafted from Purdue.
