  1. And that is because they shipped him to ESPN2... I was referring to the ESPN umbrella. He's propping up the Deuce. I know. I was just giving your misguided man love the business. Misguided my rear end.

  3. The only thing ESPN has going for it is Stephen A. Smith.
  4. Mainly my mom and uncle - my mom just told me I couldn't root for the Sox (since my dad was a Sox fan). She actually tried to steer me towards the Dodgers when we moved to LA, but it was too late. I got my family into the Bulls before the 1990s run, they get me into the Cubs. I don't think I got a fair bargain here.
  5. Woo hoo! I'm no longer the new guy!!
  6. You're required to pick Andy Pratt as a keeper.
  7. I wouldn't go that far with Petit since he struggled at AAA in 2005, but yikes, I'd be all over Cameron, Milledge and Petit for Manny. I think it's a fake rumor though, no way the Mets would give up that much for Manny.
  8. Keep in mind the first 7 pages was speculation in regards to this move.
  9. I would hope. Just wait for the contract extensions.
  10. I do. Santana was better than Colon in most categories besides W-L. EDIT: As Slugger points out.
  11. the amusing thing is that hendry said rusch offered things that not a lot of other guys could offer. pretty sure you don't have to look very hard to find a guy capable of a baa under .302 or a whip under 1.57. He offers a 1.57 WHIP and a .302 BAA for more than most pitchers in baseball. The only good that can come from this signing is my new avatar.
  12. Hendry has a plan. It is to improve the defense and get leadoff hitters (his definition of leadoff hitters, not guys with high OBPs). Maybe even improve the pitching. Then the Cubs can have their smartball too! :(
  13. :Ignoring the W/L debate: (I know, impressive that I'm ignoring it, eh?) We should trade Aramis becaue I like guys who can catch the ball.
  14. See, I was resigned to this last night in the hopes that Dusty and Hendry would be gone after 2006, but posts by BBB and Jon have made me think otherwise. Boo. :(
  15. Done, sorry.
  16. Isn't that what happened two years ago? It's exactly what happened two years ago. Thanks to SC not losing since 2003, no one even remembers that technically LSU won that year's national title. Raisin does :) Of course he remembers. But everyone should remember that. It's far too early to decide, but it'll end up being a team like Miami that lost its game early on. Oh, and I voted for UCLA because I'm extremely biased. :)
  17. That's rough to lose two winnable games in a row to start the season 1-2. Thank goodness they came back against Charlotte to start the seasn.
  18. Oh whoops, I missed that. Michigan is 21 in the AP and Harris and 22 in the Coaches'. Well, Cal is 26 in the AP and Coaches' and 25 in the Harris. So ND's best victory over an opponent is 21-22, UCLA's is 25-26.
  19. what channel? am i getting it? CSN Chicago or whatever. It's part of the free DirectTV thingy for a week, I think. And the Bulls are looking awful in OT. :( Sorry guys: JonMDavis84 (11:05:10 PM): Navin turns on the game and the Bulls start sucking
  20. Agreed that he'll make the adjustments needed, but until he does, I think he'll struggle.
  21. I just realized I'm getting the game.
  22. If UCLA played ND on a neutral field, who wins? Edit: Rais, who would you say UCLA's "best" win came against this season? Probably, ND. Before this weekend's loss, I would have been split, but I'd definitely now say ND - UCLA appears to have lost its confidence and there are rumblings that Karl Dorrell has once again lost the team. "Best" win as in strongest opponent? Cal or Oklahoma. What about ND? Tennessee? Michigan? Neither UCLA or ND has beaten a team that is currently ranked. More importantly, Oregon has one fewer loss than ND - and they both lost to the same team.
