  1. Yeah, that's definitely not a circle change. 2-seamer sounds about right (not that I ever pitched, but a bunch of us position players would often fool around with pitching grips back in HS).
  2. I read that as, "I don't pay attention to stats."
  3. Washington defeats Cal in Seattle, 73-62. Cal and Washington are now 1 game back of UCLA for first in the conference with 2 games left. UCLA goes to Berkeley to play Cal on Thursday; Washington goes to Tempe to play Arizona State. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/Navinda/Pac10.jpg
  4. I'm actually a bit concerned about the Cubs pushing Veal since he seems so raw.
  5. He tore his labrum and had shoulder surgery. That's big news if he's really going to be ready to start the season at AA. Holliman starting the year at Daytona isn't that surprising, Veal is.
  6. Again, UCLA gets off to a slow start but comes from behind at the half to blow out Oregon, 70-53. UCLA can survive the sluggish starts against the Oregon schools but not against the Bay Area schools next or in the tournament.
  7. I think if it's one of the bottom-feeders (such as Penn State or Minnesota) playing at one of the top teams (such as Illinois), it's a definite win for the top team. Apart from that I agree with you. A team could beat Illinois and lose to Penn State less than a week apart. Penn State went to Illinois and won earlier this year.
  8. It's senior day at UCLA! The starting lineup: SR 7-0 Ryan Hollins - Pasadena, CA SR 7-0 Michael Fey - Olympia, WA SR 6-6 Cedric Bozeman - Santa Ana, CA SR 6-2 Janou Rubin - Union City, CA SO 6-2 Jordan Farmar - Los Angeles (Van Nuys), CA It's Janou's first career start.
  9. Oh, thanks for clarifying that it was "people." I thought it might have been something else.
  10. It's the opinion of most scouts (who've actually seen both players play).
  11. Same in Cali.* *When there's no traffic. EDIT: What's a FIB?
  12. Stanford beat WSU 39-37 today. Big day in the Pac-10 tomorrow: Oregon plays at UCLA, then Cal plays at Washington. As of now, UCLA and Cal are tied for first place, Washington is 1 game back (Stanford and Arizona are 1.5 back).
  13. I'm very happy for him - he seems like the most likeable of all the US olympians (that have been shown at least). He looks genuinely thrilled crossing the line. He's a really great guy. My mom met him 4 years ago at a post-Oscar party and he let her and her co-workers touch his Olympic medal and was nice to everyone.
  14. Just skip the 4th quarter.
  15. Disappointing loss. Why was Gordon on the bench down the stretch (even after Deng had fouled out)?
  16. Duhon's really feeling it right now.
  17. Aww man, Cards fans are gonna skew the poll!
  18. Haha, an unnamed assistant coach: "NBA officiating is not much different from the WWF." Bulls up 59-57 at the half.
  19. That's good news. Hopefully Z will pull out too, I am just as concerned about him.
  20. It might be harder to get tickets on the day of because it's a new ballpark (I have no clue how things go in STL, just tossing that out there).
  21. Wow, that was some dunk by Igoudala.
  22. Bulls by 1 after 1.
  23. Maybe if you are driving from Illinois to California, but most certainly not from LA to Chicago. That was Pasadena to Downtown Chicago according to Mapquest.
  24. Bulls at 76ers on the Superstation right now. I don't like the camera angle.
