Good. I have UCLA in the Final Four Not sure how that's good, Jordan is UCLA's second best player and starting point guard. There are major questions in regards to his shooting ability right now with the injured wrists. Morrison should be ok by tomorrow evening or close enough that it's not that big a cocnern.

Iowa: Nic Jackson is back and healthy. Daytona: Sean Gallagher, Luke Haggerty, Darrin Downs, Mike Billek, Mark Holliman were the notable pitchers. Peoria: Mark Pawelek, Donald Veal, Jesus Yepez, Scott Taylor, Mark Reed, Ryan Norwood. Rookie/Boise(?): The only names I recognized were Mercedes and Albuquerque. Saw Pawelek and Taylor pitching on Sunday in the rain. It was tough to tell since I was immediately behind Mark, but it does look like he cleaned up his windup compared to what I saw on video last year in Boise. His FB looked good, had more zip on it than Taylor's (obviously). His offspeed pitches had nice bite on them, but he didn't have that great control with them. It was rather obvious he was a player's girlfriend. He started flirting with her and Ryan Harvey comes right then and there; the fan realizes he was hitting on Ryan's girlfriend and freaks out. Ryan looks perplexed for a second, then notices the fan's card collection with Harvey's card on top and asks him if he wants it signed. The fan says yes and looked relieved.

That's exactly what Mike Marshall was saying on the Score Saturday morning. Throw all year, and get the muscles involved able to withstand overuse. It also seemed like he was against weight training for pitchers, but I came in on the middle of that conversation. Prior probably didn't throw much because he spent a lot of December in a San Diego hospital.

That's the Mighty 1090 AM for those of us in So Cal who can't get San Diego's channel 4 (LA, Orange County and the Inland Empire). Good thing, because I should be in my car for part of the game. P.S. I used to (I think illegaly, but I'm not positive - the channel isn't supposed to air outside of San Diego County) get San Diego's Channel 4 at my apartment in Westwood when I went to UCLA.

I didn't get a chance to see the intersquad game on Friday because I had to go to Scottsdale to see the Cubs-Giants game. On Sunday, most everything, including the intersquad games, was rained out (that was my planned day to see the minor leaguers play :(). I'll have a little blurb up and some average-at-best pics a little later.

I saw him and talked to him last weekend. He said he was completely healthy and looked it while swinging the bat and shagging flyballs. Nic thought he was going to be headed to Iowa to start the season (and was practicing with the AAA guys). By the way, Nic's really funny and just seems like a great guy to hang out with.

Before last season, he's been hurt off and on the previous 3 seasons. He still needs to improve the power.

I'd rather have Kyle and see if he can progress while being a third stringer.
