  1. By the way, Penny has looked as dominant as his stats have been thus far this season. Hope the Cubs can get to the pen because I don't expect much against Penny.
  2. Angel have given up 4 HRs, this season, one was a 3-run shot last time (and a 2-run shot this time) and Brownlie also allowed one of Guzman's runs to score. And yet again, an inherited run scores to boost Angel's ERA. :x 7-3 Albuquerque. Now a double makes it 8-3.
  3. lol piechart! Give that man another beer - or maybe some work to do. Do I get one for naming the image piechart?
  4. Felix Pie's AB: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/Navinda/piechart.jpg
  5. Guzman today: 6 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 9/1, 3 HR, 91 pitches On the season: 16.1 IP, 15 H, 6.06 ERA, 23/2
  6. HR. :( On the other hand, Guzman has 23 Ks on the season which leads everyone in the system.
  7. Sean Gallagher has a 22/2 K/BB ratio, Carlos Marmol is at 21/6.
  8. No, he had it in 2003. Balls are going to fly out in Albuquerque, but 3 HRs in 2 IP is disappointing. I think it's just 2 HR's. He seems to have settled down. Whoops, you're right.
  9. Are those are the Hollywood Bowl-type seats? They look nice.
  10. Worked the count well to get a single to left. Big 1B/3B, 27 years old, first year in the Cubs system. I talked to him in spring training. He threw his glove over a fence accidentally while trying to catch a flyball that was well over his head and I caught his glove (yes, I gave it back). McGehee follows Deardorff's single, pitching change for the Isotopes. Drats, Casey Kopitzke and Angel Guzman both grounded out to end the threat, stranding two guys in scoring position (with Pie on deck).

  12. Luke Hagerty to extended spring training, LHP Clint Brannon to Daytona.
  13. Iowa: Iowa: RHP Angel Guzman (1-1, 4.36 ERA, 10.1 IP, 14/1) @ RHP Nic Ungs (1-1, 3.00 ERA, 12 IP) West Tenn: LHP Chris Shaver (Daytona: 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 8.2 IP, 10/0) vs. RHP Dave Coggin (0-2, 6.43 ERA, 7 IP) Daytona: RHP Mark Holliman (0-1, 3.00 ERA, 9 IP, 9/5) Peoria: RHP Mike Billek (0-2, 5.19 ERA, 8.2 IP, 6/2) Chris Shaver is making his AA debut. It's Luke Hagerty's (0-2, 15.00 ERA, 3 IP, 4/9) turn in the rotation, but he was re-assigned to extended spring training.
  14. I hate the Juice Box. What a joke.
  15. Lowe was topping out at 90 - regularly 86-88. Z topped out at 92 and was regularly 87-90. Howry topped out at 93. That was based on the scoreboard gun. I was concerned with Z's FB speed, but I know those scoreboard guns are notorious for being off.
  16. I don't like either of those players. I think Youboty is overrated and Fasano is just gonna be average. Jonathan Joseph from the other USC is flying up the board (great speed) and is above Youboty now. Really though, I have really turned my hopes to Marcedes Lewis. He has all the makings of an elite pass catching TE. Welcome to the dark side! :)
  17. Was Williamson in the pen? I couldn't see the Cubs pen from my location. If that was the case, I certainly was pissed that they didn't walk Drew. Heck, Howry walked Mueller earlier in the game with first open. And I wasn't pleased that Ohman was pitching the bottom of the 9th of a tie game. Williamson was in the pen. Why it wasn't Dempster I don't know. I was a little upset with Ohman pitching the 9th, but there was a long streak of switch hitters and lefties coming up. On the other hand, lefties are 1 for 13 against Dempster so far this year. I thought it was Dempster coming in when I saw the high socks (it seemed like the logical move to make), then I saw the #50 and I was disappointed. Was Z throwing as soft as the Dodger Stadium gun indicated (87-90 mph, topping out once or twice at 92 mph)?

  19. :D Zambrano in his career at Dodger Stadium has a 0.00 ERA, 0.57 WHIP and a .100 BAA (17.2 IP, 4 G, 2 starts, 22/4 K/BB ratio). Raisin are you going to any games? Tonight and tomorrow night. I've seen Z throw 8 innings of shutout ball each of the last two seasons at Dodger Stadium. Nice. Shouldn't you be on your way? In 10 minutes. I have to meet someone who has my ticket and he's stuck in traffic coming from the Westside. I'd rather not just wait in my car in the parking lot for a while.

  21. 17 :) Mississippi is lucky it's only 7 innings today. :) Smile ha ha The good news: It's only 7 innings The bad news: There's 7 more innings to play after this game! It'd be especially bad news if the Jaxx got Marmol's bat back in the lineup for game 2. ;)
