  1. Cards, where he will no only reach the 600HR pleatue, but go on to beat Hank Aaron's record in the next thee years.
  2. I can't stand this. All this is getting my hopes up... Legit News? git 'er done
  3. Pitching. I think all of it. Starters and Pen.
  4. I like some of the creativity going on here. All-alliteration team. Nice.
  5. I was pretty upset about not protecting Sing, and probably bashed Hendry a bit for it(don't remember if I did or how bad it was), but regardless, I am going to help myself to a nice big meal of.... http://www.fence.org/images/Birds/FenceBirds/crow.jpg Yep, Crow! mmmmmm Glad we didn't lose Sing. Sounds like Hendry knew what he was doing here and didn't just get lucky. Nice job Jim.
  6. What about when Lenny stole third base, but was clearly out? I'm not sure he could steal third on a wild pitch.
  7. Personally, I think Patterson will be dealt straight up for Bradley, to be honest. Sounds great to me. I'm not so sure LA would do that. Couldn't they get two good prospects from the A's? Maybe we'd throw in a minor league arm in the deal.
  8. This is the happiest day of my life.
  9. I really hope that the Cubs help out the Rangers with their OF problem now. *cough*Wilkerson*cough*
  10. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/snetsrak43/munchkin.jpg Turns ou you're wrong. He REALLY IS that tiny.
  11.  Lima: "C'mon Angel, where's your money?" This is where I have to draw the line. Don't get me wrong, Mrs. Benson is attractive, but my God she's not even as hot as my wife. If I'm going to cheat, it's got to be a move up. Have you seen Mrs. Lima? Now, THAT'S HOT!! =P~ proove it. Oh and I don't think this is a great deal for the Royals. Its not like hes cheap. He won't turn them around. Although I do have to say I don't know whats going on over there and what they're plan is. Maybe it makes perfect sense. Either way they get Anna. Can we trade some of our spare rule 5 arms for her? She'd be a great clubhouse presence. we will just leave them unprotected and the royals can pick them up...seriously, though if anyting this will make the royals a spectacle in KC, maybe more people will go to the games? If thats the case maybe the Marlins should have brought him in. :D Although maybe theres less hot women in KC than Miami, so its less of a spectacle. Even if the women in KC were hotter, the women around Miami are probably wearing bikinis and stuff sooo, yea...
  12. take career numbers into consideration. Such as even neglecting to take pierres 2005 into consideration he is an inferior option to others. Heck, lets even ignore his non-coors ops in 2002. Lets also look and Bradleys numbers on the road. 2002: 260/321/443 2003: 346/443/548 2004: 282/376/447 2005: 309/367/494 Pierre can't even come close to sniffing those OBP, let alone those power numbers. Actually he has accomplished those OBP from 2004/05 before. Yea Bradley kills him on power. Hard to argue with the 2003 except by saying he has not seen anything close to that OBP production any other time in his career. I do have to say that before I was higher on Bradley, but after seeing how much he has not playd it drops his stock quite a bit. I like both players. Depending on who we got may change the route we go with other spots, but either one can fit well here.

  14. I can't really say anything that hasn't already said except that simply it makes us better. Yea Pierre has flaws, weak D, caught stealing, weak power. Does Bradley not have flaws as well? Potential headcase, injury prone. The injury prone one really sticks out to me, because I thought the general consensus around here after all the injuries we've had to pitchers and Nomar. Hey I like Bradley, but Pierre can do a good job too. It is important that Hendry makes the right follow up moves, but if he secures even a player like Wilkerson for RF and ensures that someone better than Niefi is at 2B(with Cedeno at short) then our situation looks pretty good. Under that senario maybe we could make a deal for a solid 5th starter. Oh and like someone else said, and it is really annoying, I hate when people can pick and choose whether or not to consider the past years performance. With Howry and Eyre all that mattered was their past failures. With Pierre it is all about his failure for just the past year. Choose one or the other. For me, I'm choosing the career unless it is someone young and on the rise or old and on the decline.
  15. Wow with that roatation you beat my "R" team overall. I still doubt somebody can beat my lineup and bullpen though(specifically the middle of my batting order). Maybe one or the other separately, but not both with the same team.
  16. I didn't take the time to read through the whole thread. I would be happy with those guys. I would be happier with Bradley/Wilkerson/Cedeno at those spots, assuming we get a pretty comparable player at 2B when we give up Walker(its gonna happen) likely it would be Perez though :( But lets say its not and 2B is Walker or a similar player(we'll use his name. RF-Wilkerson/Bradley 2B-Walker 1B- Lee 3B- Ramirez CF- Bradley/Wilkerson C- Barret LF- Murton SS- Cedeno
  17. Also if you are really bored and want to "spice up" your post you can make all-time teams or full 40man rosters.
  18. Thats a good point, but it seems like if hes on, guys are making new posts soliciting whenever they see him on. You could make a sticky thread telling him he can post there whenever he sees fit... as a rule to the board, don't make new threads everytime hes here. Seems like less soliciting to me. The decision is ultimately up to Tim and the other Mods, but I dont see the harm in considering it.
  19. Oh and if you go to MLB.com you can sort out all active players for a position and then just look through the names.
  20. I remember a thread like this from way back and it was pretty entertaining. The idea make up a team using players with the last name starting with one letter (or you can combine U,V,Y,Z). Here goes my "R" team. 2B- Brian Roberts CF- Dave Roberts SS- Alex Rodriguez LF- Manny Ramirez 3B/1B- Aramis Ramirez 1B/3B- Scott Rolen C- Ivan Rodriguez RF- Aaron Rowand/ Jeremy Reed platoon defensive Rolen is far superior to Aramis at 3B, but I think Rolen could make the switch better to 1B. Either way they both hit well. Bench: C- Mike Redmond SS/2B- Edgar Renteria 3B- Joe Randa SS/2B- Jimmy Rollins(maybe I'd convert him or Renteria to OF) SS/2B- Jose Reyes(how does OF Sound?) Plus whichever of Rowand/Reed isn't starting Maybe Rent or Randa could add 1B to the resume. And if I didn't have enough MIF already, Hanley Ramirez is patiently waiting in the minors Now to the ugly part: Pitching SP- Mark Redman SP- Horacio Ramirez SP- Glendon Rusch SP- Nate Robertson SP- Wandy Rodriguez CL- Mariano Rivera SU- Francisco Rodriguez SU- BJ Ryan(LOOGY) BP- Arthur Rhodes BP- David Riske BP- Juan Rincon Actually I just have to hope my starters can keep a lead with my offense for six innings until Ryan/Rodriguez/Rivera take over.  Besides the other solid BP arms I have some others like Remlinger and JC Romero at my disposal. Beat that offense and BullPen!
  21. I second this idea. Can a Mod put this in place?
  22. Its fun to dream, but lets be realistic, we don't have the talent to pull in those guys. What I see happening is they both stay. The teams that do have the prospects probably aren't teams that would want to trade all their top guys for one guy because they wouldn't be in a position to win so it wouldn't matter. The teams that could use Cabrera/Willis to help win probably don't have the farm talent, like us. The only way I could see us landing one of them (and still this is about .0000000001% chance) is that we send at least 5 top prospects, Pie, Dopriak, Harvey, EPatterson, Guzman, Marshall, Pawelek whomever they want... Patterson would be a good guy to send IMO because he had great success and is far away from having to be put on the 40man, which means longer to arbitration etc. I'm sure they wouldn't want all guys who were a year away.... On top of that you send abou 7-10mil each year for 2 years. Maybe a couple mil the next year too. You want a second one? Throw in 3-4 more prospects and put another 5mil on top of what you already are giving them Say we only want Cabrera, throw this out there Pie, Harvey, EPatterson, Pawelek, Marshall, Pinto, Sing and 8 mil for two years. 2 mil the next year For Cabrera, maybe also the crappiest player in their farm system as consaltion so we don't feel so empty afterwards. Is that worth it? MAYPBE!
  23. At first I thought, Macias representing his country? But its Panama, there aren't too many Panaminians in the MLB are there. He's probably like AROd over there.
