    That tweet is a little misleading. The cap was already projected to be up. This new number is only 0.5-1 M more than previous projections.

    As I'm sure Raisin will be taking suggestions, it's sure to be between Dix and Donald. While I dong love the idea of 1st round S, but I like Dix a lot and I feel there is a better shot of getting a DT in round two than a S. So I would choose Dix, but it's close.

    Most things I read have the Rams interested in him, so I'm sure he'll go at 2 if they don't trade down.

    I'm not too high on Warren. His lack of outside shot worries me as a wing player, and he isn't going to guard to post enough to play him in the front court. Him and Jimmy on the wings together, for instance, would worry me. And he doesn't really project to be much of a wing defender either. So he's a really good mid-range scorer. Not sure that's what I want. Hairiston I like as a really good potential 3 and D guy on the wing. Kyle Anderson is a guy I have a bit of a draft crush on at the moment, despite his lack of athleticism and (related) defensive concerns.

    Yeah, I could justify any of the three directions and maybe it's just my personal bias, but I don't see enough of a gap between the top 4 QBs (Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortles, Carr) and the second and third tier guys (Garrapolo, Murray, Shaw, McCarron, Mettenberger, etc). I could see Bradley going with Mack/Watkins in the first and then waiting a bit to get one of the later QBs in a Russell Wilson-esque move. Mack was extremely tempting there, though, with Bradley being a defensive coach. Carr would have been the QB if I went that direction. Mack was tempting if I thought the Browns would do that. If it was me, my order would have been Mack then Bortels or Carr. Watkins was the only WR I would have considered there, but going Adams would surprise me if that scenario played out.

    Sammy Watkins was certainly in play. They definitely need a QB, but with no QBs taken yet, they could still get a good one with their second pick. The Browns can occasionally surprise. They should just go BPA (Mack) or a QB (they have their pick) here but they do the dumb thing and reach for a WR in a deep WR draft; Mike Evans WR, Texas A&M PMd cubbyvirus

    I've seen it mentioned, but it usually seems more in the context of them not even being at number 1 and speculating from there. It's a greater possibility than I though it was a month ago, but I'd still say the signs point to them going QB, recent rumors taken into account of the overall picture. Maybe we're reading way different sources though.

    Obviously Clowney could go number one if there's a trade, which maybe you're referring to but it seems still pretty strong towards a QB being the Texans top pick. I'd consider a trade less likely since it seems like the Rams are willing to move down too, muddying up the trade market as a seller.

    A) That is not necessarily more realistic. B) That is not necessarily the point of this exercise. Obviously pre-draft talk/rumor is always up for scrutiny, but almost all signs point to it being a QB. I'll be pretty surprised if it's not. If Clowney is taken I'll gladly eat crow for buying too much into the pre-draft rumors. It seems pretty obvious the direction they'll go at the moment though. Understood about point two, in all the years we've done this mock there's never been a consensus so people do different things. Which is no big deal cuz I think it's still fun. If everyone was as draft obsessed as I was I'd suggest running two concurrent drafts - one "what would I do" and one "what I think will happen". That'd be the most fun but I think not enough posters would share that level of enthusiasm to do this twice.

    I'll make it easy on you. Broncos for me. raw wants NFC, so he gets Cardinals. TT has Chiefs, hawkeye - Vikes Leaves just Pats and Fins. Fins to Raisin since they pick sooner. We'll figure out the Pats later. Get this thing started tomorrow. Edit- looks like Wekin wants a team too. So Pats to him (or vice versa with Raisin- either way, those picks are far off, so this things ready to start)

    No extra year in the S&T anymore. So NY has a big leg up as far as contract value goes. A S&T would be tricky because it basically means the Bulls don't have the space they need to sign Melo outright. It would really require us and Melo to use LA as leverage to the point where Melo tells Phil he can work out a S&T with the Bulls or he signs in LA. Sent from my Lenovo S5000-F using Tapatalk

    While that's true for right now, the articles have mentioned the Ricketts wanting to make sure they maintain control into at least the "next generation". I'm not sure how it works anyways since it's owned by the trust, but my assumption is at the end of the day each Rickett right now has a ~23.75% stake and depending on how many kids they all have next in line, they want to be sure a couple family numbers couldn't jump ship so to speak and easily sell the club because ownership is so diluted. So maybe we'd only see up to about 20% or so depending on how they figure the numbers out or how the subsequent ownership is outlined in the trust docs.

    I don't know how I could choose anyone over Sammy. I'm fond of a lot of guys like Wood, but Sammy still wins. If I'm going with an upset choice it's Glenallen Hill because rooftop shots, and that only.
