  1. It's gotta be Buccannon. I'm not worried about doubling down, but I think Buccannon has more value here than the DL available.
  2. Ravens select Cameron Fleming, OT Stanford Sent from my Lenovo S5000-F using Tapatalk
  3. I am really confused...to me, his girlfriend looks like an asian/black mix? Mexican/Black apparently.
  4. I think need wise CB, ILB, and RB are all in play here. Based on what's available I'm gonna get that first RB off the board. I'm sure Browns fans would want the Ohio State guy but I'm going Bishop Sankey, RB, Washington. Should form a good duo with Tate and continue to build around Gordon and the first two picks. With plenty more picks, defensive depth will wait. Pm'd cubbyvirus
  5. Not true. If you zoom in enough and know your suburban geography, you'll see they basically show I-88/290 as the dividing line between fandoms, with the exception being The Naperville/Lisle/Woodridge/Bolingbrook areas shown as predominantly Cubs fans. This makes more sense as there are not more Sox fans in the Chicago area than Cubs fans. Yea it seems pretty accurate to me. I viewed it on my phone so it was a little difficult to pick everything out, but was there a pocket of cubs strength in Hyde Park?
  6. I'm not sure how I feel about Hageman but I think I'd take that draft, raw.
  7. Also regarding visits it seems possible that guy isn't distinguishing between private visits and combine/pro day visits (he has 32 listed and the max is 30) . But it's obviously a guessing game and they may choose to leak certain pre draft visits and conceal others.
  8. Pretty good review. I would contend some of the classifications (or at least contend their predictive value), but it at the very least gives a good overview.
  9. So I've been trying to research the Bears pre draft visits to get an idea who they may draft. In Emery's first two drafts there was pretty strong correlation. So a few notes- We're drafting a safety in the first two rounds. Dix, Pryor, Fuller, and Bucannon all have had official visits. Credit to a RealGM poster , but Bucannon probably has the best measurables, so don't be surprised if he's the guy, even in round one (it wouldn't be an Emery draft if round one didn't feel like a big reach). Don't be surprised if we pass on Donald (though I think he may be gone anyways). We did meet with him at the combine, but no official Halas Hall visit as far as i can see. One DL to visit was Nix who could certainly fit in a hybrid or straight 3-4 scheme. Donald makes tons of sense for a true Tampa 2 team. He's also small and save for the McClellin pick, Emery seems to like size too, and has talked about valuing it more. They may be looking for versatility. Both are late day 3 prospects (or even UDFA), but both De'Anthony Thomas and Jordan Lynch had official visits. Will be interesting to see if Emery takes a risk on a potential big play athlete without a position and let Trestman figure out the rest. Both these guys could possibly line up in the backfield, but neither would be a true runner, and also line up as WR. With only Ford and Draugh behind Forte one more body would be wise, so it will be interesting to see if or how Emery addresses RB in the draft. With our defensive FA signings I wouldn't even mind a true RB in rd 2 or 3 though I can't find any word of visits, so no signs we plan to address RB early. Obviously the pre draft visits are only one thing to go on, but basically the only insight we have now. Any significant visits I'm missing?
  10. Confirmed Shazier. At this rate well have time for 3 rounds
  11. Pretty sure I signed up for Broncos but I'm up for suggestions. I'm thinking Ryan Shazier, LB Ohio State
  12. Notice Kerry doesn't say anything about inviting him to the number retirement ceremony though. Unless it's Hollandsworth. In which case Sammy should have to tell him he's sorry... he sucks so bad as a media figure the Cubs chose [expletive] Ron Coomer over him. Otherwise I've exhausted my list of the 2004 Cubs with any sort of current affiliation with the club.
  13. And the stereo is so big and clunky Sammy can't manage to shake Kerry's hand so he either doesn't shake Kerry's hand or drops the stereo and breaks it, and we talk about if his disrespect at the reconciliation ceremony warrants banishing him again.
  14. Oh and also there is a big pre game ceremony like Rivera's retirement tour and they shake hands and Wood hands over the stereo.
  15. So this basically means he has to apologize to Wood right? Does Wood have to buy him a new stereo in return? If this is the arrangement I'm okay with it especially if Wood has to buy him a big ass 2004 stereo.
  16. Is 3-1 against the DBacks really impressive, even for the Cobs?
  17. People keep throwing out Houston without a good idea on what it would actually take for them to clear the room. They have to get teams to take on a year of Lin and Asik at a very high actual dollars cost and not really a great cap cost. Plus Morey has a pretty stingy reputation in trade negotiations. Not sure on Dallas' situation. I'm still taking the Knicks over the field, and probably a lot. Phil and 30m and the possibility of 2015 will be too much to give up. I'm giving the Knicks 70%. I do like the Bulls shot the best among the 30% field though.
  18. That's my point. At this moment, he's not a max player. He may or may not ever be again. If I'm Melo or some other big FA, I'm probably looking at too much risk to come in and count on him. What the alternative for Melo though? He has to feel pretty comfortable with the team without Rose, but I don't see why he wouldn't be, unless he's willing to wait a year in NY for their cap situation to improve.
  19. Love NFL prediction time. "Looks like 9-7 or 10-6 with a shot at 11-5 if we steal one. Should be 7-9 at worst" said any NFL fan ever. Basically take your toughest two home games and make them losses. Split your roads games at .500 and everyone is 10-6!
  20. I know he was an MVP and all but do we really still get to call him one of the best guards in the league? Usually playing in the league is a pre-requisite to being considered among the best.
  21. I think there's a decent chance the Browns will actually pick this guy at #4. So if they got him at 26 that'd be pretty damn lucky. Derek Carr, QB
  22. I don't think it necessarily cheapens your cause to bring along the hecklers. There's power in numbers and hecklers are easy to attract. Still wonder if there will have been any benefit a month from now when the media is over this story (other than whatever benefit it brings victims to see the justice of public opinion brought on one guy). I also feel uneasy that there's probably dozens of athletes flying under the radar because they didn't get charged or there lacked sufficient evidence. It's possible we have one of our very own. This guys a scapegoat for all predators and probably not even the worst unfortunately. Are we attacking a certain culture that exists amongst powerful rich athletes or content to just spew vitriol at a single person in the culture.
  23. Jesus Christ I was just settled down from the loss and you have to post that. I know the Bulls had about a 1% chance of scoring, but between the bogus jump ball to that I want my 1% back.
  24. I was trying to figure out why this seemed weird to me and I think you nailed it by asking how many people are just hecklers. If it makes victims or families of victims feel better I say go ahead, but I do question if it has much impact for change once news sites stop covering it and everyone forgets about rape again. That being said I can't imagine the trauma of rape, so I'll try not too read too much into intentions of anyone here.
  25. Man, had to get the ball in DJs hands there. God we better get Melo.
